Good for large groups with kids Solid budget-friendly option for a big group. The suites were large, the bunks were fun for kids. The inside of the rooms (we saw a number of other family members' rooms as well) were all a little bit run down, but clean. The pool and restaurant were great though, and that beach can't be beat - the gentle waves are perfect for those who are still learning to swim. Hotel bikes were free and the trails around the area are beautiful and well maintained. All in all it was a great trip!

New Favorite Vacation spot! We had a great time here! The beds and pillows are so comfortable, the rooms were bigger than expected, and very clean! We got a bottom floor room which was great for my Hubby's knees. The pool is huge and kept up really well. We loved the firepit. The food at 24 COASTAL GRILL by the pool was amazing. Johnette and Holly were very helpful! You must try the tacos and the kids said the chicken fingers were the best ever! Everything we ate there was so good and Mike made sure we had everything we needed! Linda made our coffee every morning and she is so sweet! This hotel has everything the Hard Rock does in Daytona without the crowds! We will definitely coming back!

Stay was nice but some staff need retraining We stayed here in June for one night on our way to Disney World. There were 7 of us in our party. Our room was nice and spacious for our party. And our balcony offered amazing views of the ocean. I was able to watch the sunrise! So the property is great. Front desk staff could use some retraining on customer service. Checking us into our room seemed like it was disrupting their lives. When we got to our room I noticed their were three towels in the bathroom… for 7 people… the exact number that were on the reservation. I had to go back to the front desk to retrieve more towels which again seemed like a chore for the employees. I again had to return to the front desk for pillows and blankets as there weren’t enough of those in the room and was told they didn’t have enough to fulfill my request. This wouldn’t have been an issue had the appropriate amount been left for the number of people in my party. I do want to say that I think I encountered three employees who didn’t seem to hate their job. Two were working at a wedding that was being held the night we were there and the other was the very friendly lady in the little coffee shop the next morning. I know their names but they were courteous and friendly. We enjoyed our short stay and will most likely return someday but perhaps better customer service training could become more of a focus at this Holiday Inn resort location.

Enjoyed our stay. After a rough start with check in, the staff cleared things up and made for a very pleasant stay. The Assistant GM Valerie, front desk Alayah, Serena, & Kim made sure everything was in order, while Michael the restaurant manager was attentive and on top of things. Our room had a great view of the dunes and ocean, was comfortable and clean with everything in working order. The brand new restaurant and bar were very good, staff there had it down for only being open 16 days. Pool was well kept, clean, and towels were stocked constantly. Take advantage of the bicycles, get some exercise and see some of the island.

Not Worth The Money Our room was clean but lacking lights. It was big with a table and chairs with spare room but no lights in the big area. There were two at the entrance and one corner light and something between the beds. Not nearly enough for the room. The bathroom wall had a large area that had been worked on and spackled but not painted over. The soap dispenser at the sink was broke and empty. The bathtub plug was broken off. No form of breakfast included and we didn't find an ice machine. We paid a lot for the room and don't think it was worth it.
