Perfect Hotel in Jersey City Our wedding guests had 40+ rooms at the Westin. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. The hotel is very clean and sleek. Everyone loved their rooms. They were all spacious and clean with nice amenities. The views were priceless. The location is excellent for walks on the water and the PATH Train to NYC. The lobby bar is a perfect central meeting point for guests to meet and mingle. The food and service at Fire and Oak is terrific. It is not an average hotel restaurant. We will return for dinner. I give the hotel 6 stars and highly recommend it for your Jersey City stay.

Very Nice hotel in easy location I was a recent guest at this hotel in order to attend a wedding there. Its actually about a block from the water which is nice. The hotel was recently refurbished and had a great restaurant inside too, where we had lunch. Great burgers. . The room was spacious and the bathroom recently updated. I was on a high floor, so no noise. Comfortable room, multiple pillows, comfortable bed. Very FAST elevators, which is a terrific thing compared to most hotels. The hotel is within a few blocks of the Holland tunnel so if you are heading to NYC next, this is an easy location from that point of view. Evidently the hotel has several ballrooms but we were attending the reception elsewhere. There is a self contained mall about a block away ( Macy's, Penney's Kohls, in the event you forgot to pack something ( which I did!!) Its presently undergoing renovations, so was partially open when I was there. The hotel offers parking in the rear at a multi-story garage. There is a small dedicated area set aside for Westin guests. So, that parking is readily available, is a plus. The down side is that the parking is not cheap, there is no discount offered for hotel guests, and in the two days I was there, I probably dropped close to $100 in parking fees. Annoying and something of a rip off. The hotel has wifi, but if you access it in your room there is a fee to hook up to it. Its free ( and a different code) if you wish to sit and do your stuff in the lobby. Ask the front desk for the sign on code. So, a few petty annoyances. Staff at the front desk and restaurant servers were uniformly friendly. Maid service will not enter your room to make the bed, etc unless requested. I suppose that is due to covid concerns. Overall though, an attractive hotel and a sound place to stay if you need o be in Jersey City.

Only one restaurant open, breakfast is nothing special, The hotel store is not open, so you have to goto the front desk and buy water for your room. Sometimes you have nice attendant then sometimes so get I guess I can do my job. The breakfast is only prepaid foil sandwiches that you pay for. The one restaurant that is open is packed all the time and the two times I was there they were out of most beers. I just canceled my meeting in September I had planned for seven people.

Absurd All I can say right now is absurd. From the time I booked this reservation- & the amount of time I spent searching hotels which indoors pools that were open and operating now, to the lack of any time of refreshment complimentary other than coffee & only in the am- where you have to stand in line to get it- no microwave in room- the room was supposed to have a view— pool- breakfast, none it had none of these! I would have rather paid to have stayed at a Hilton or a choice hotel for half the price this this hotel- that offers not anything more than any other hotel, with no pool available for use, no computer room for use, check in tool over 30 min- no room service-‘o cleaning service- no bottle of water, the movie I rented was 30$ no parking other than around the corner and up into the parking lot-$28 or close too this- and again with your luggage and a special need child it’s not easy to park on the 4th floor if this huge full garage around the corner and down and up a slope - had to move the car front the front after checkin-no room to park and check in! It’s pretty much one car at a time! I have been a member to Hilton & chalice hotels for 10 plus years- I have been a member to Marriott -but they couldn’t find my member #- I haven’t stayed in a very long time at this type of hotel- but at most I would say this is a sham. 99 $ room and services and amenities at best and that’s only bc you can walk to the water feom this spot-

Great Staycation I decided to give this a try for a one night staycation. Beautiful hotel is all I can say. Everything was spotless, and smelled great! Staff was very welcoming and wiling to help with everything. I loved my elite upgrade to a Newport King - worth the extra money if you can't get the upgrade! Stunning room and bathroom with incredible views. Had a great dinner at Fire and Oak - even with Covid restrictions, it almost seemed normal, and I felt comfortable the entire time. Path train is right outside the door, as well as a Mall, which I dropped a few dollars at! Parking is reasonable, and just a minute walk away. Valet is still not there due to COVID. Elite breakfast was reasonable, considering the times we're in, and the lady working the breakfast couldn't have been nicer. I wish I knew her name! If she had her way, I would have consumer 5000 calories! Overall - highly recommend, and I can't wait to go back soon.
