Dirty, run down, untrustworthy location. Stay somewhere else. The lodge is run down. The door into our hotel room could be pushed open without using the key card because the wood was so warped. Outlets in the room were unusable because they were no longer securely attached to the wall. The room was surface clean upon first look but very dirty with any further inspection- furniture, light fixtures caked with dust. Debris in corners of floor in bathroom. Stained bathtub. Charge $15 to park your car in a spread out, sparsely populated area. Lazy river is a joke. Literally goes in a small circle around itself. No wave pool. Tubes used for the tube slides not inflated properly. Towels are trash, completely falling apart. Worst part of the stay: being charged $60 + tax for 4 pool towels we returned. They use your room # to check the towels OUT but do not have a process to check them back IN other than to drop them in a large “wet towel” bin. I even verified with the person checking towels out that I do not return them to him directly, but place them in a general bin. The following day, I was alerted of a $65 charge to my credit card. If I did not have alerts set up when my credit card was charged without me being present, I never would’ve known about this charge. It’s concerning that I was emailed a final receipt with the room charges, etc. the afternoon after we checked out, but then they charged an additional amount without an email or any notification. When I chatted with somebody with customer service, all she said was that the money had been refunded but gave no explanation as to why it was charged in the first place and no apology. I wonder how many people leave this place and get charged for things like towels without their knowledge. Seems like a very shady operation to me. If you use my room number to check out my towels, then you should use my room number to check them back in. Otherwise, how is a guest supposed to prove that they return their towels? Also if you email me a receipt with the final charges, you should no longer be able to charge my credit card further once I have left the premises and the room has been checked out of. My family has stayed at the great Wolf Lodge in Minneapolis many times and I’ve never been charged for parking nor have we ever been charged for towels. I will not be returning to this location as I question their business practices. Very disappointed that a place that is supposed to be family oriented is not clean with their property or their business practices. My family has stayed at the great Wolf Lodge in Minneapolis many times and I’ve never been charged for parking nor have we ever been charged for towels. I will not be returning to this location as I question their business practices.

Fun with an open mind! Kids love it! I admit that I’ve dreaded Great Wolf Lodge anticipating large crowds and chaos. We finally decided to give it a try and booked 1 night to see how it goes. We ended up adding on a 2nd night! They text you a discounted rate for adding on an extra night and we were able to stay in the same room so we said yes! The areas are enclosed so you don’t feel like you have to watch your child as closely as you would in a more open space. Towels are provided so just ask for how many you need prior to entering the water activity area. We found that, although it was crowded, the lines moved quickly for the slides. We had a lot of fun on the big slides as a family riding as a 3-person rider. You are able to stay all day with your reservation but we found it to be less busy mid-day as people are checking out and in. There are fun activities planned in the evening like a dance party and story readings that are really fun for the kids. Food is expensive and what you would expect…mediocre. There are places nearby and parking/driving is so easy and accessible. We went to an Asian restaurant for dinner nearby. Because you wear a bracelet that serves as your room key and a way to charge items to your room, it’s very easy to accumulate a large bill. With deposits being made in advance and charges added on consistently upon arrival (especially if you add a 2nd night), it is very hard to read the receipt. Next time, I will make better notes and track in the moment to ensure all the charges are expected and correct. We will definitely be going back (perfect Winter activity) but we will bring a lot of our own food and snacks. We will bring sandwich things and easy to heat items (easy mac, etc.). We plan to skip out on most internal food options and drinks. Also, no staff told us but each person gets FREE wolf ears! You go to the store by the reservation desk and ask for them and they hand them over. I didn’t know and bought a pair when we arrived. An experienced grandma came over and shared that tip with us on the first night.

Make sure you check your charge card for what got charged We had 3 rooms (all prepaid). When I checked out, I decided to get a copy of our bills to verify our charges. Good thing. They had charged us for our room. Luckily they were able to remove that charge........but they had already charged it. When I got home that charge plus another charge of $32.74 was also on my credit card. I'm now on the phone for the 3rd time trying to get this resolved. Very frustrating!!!!! Make sure you check your charge card for what got charged.

Fun for families with young children We visited in December during the off season between holidays. The resort was full with families of preschoolers all having a great time together! We enjoyed eating on site. The burgers and pizza were good enough for the convenience of not having to leave the hotel. The ice cream parlor was a big hit!
