Worst Casino experience ever The worst experience I have ever had at a casino. I was treated unjust and will never return. My partner and I were playing the automated craps and it malfunctioned and we did not receive our payout, despite it malfunctioning a half hour prior and we did receive the payout at that time. The team were unsure what to and brought in Matt the manager, whom decided it was best to kick us off the casino floor for complaining along with his security lead Cynthia. We are guests at the hotel and were told to go to our room, not even allowed to go smoke outside of the building as they had two security come outside to escort us in. Told I was intoxicated by Matt which clearly I am not as I am writing this now, an hour or so after the so called incident. Honestly, so bad. Don’t go! Matt is compensating for something much smaller. Will follow up with Boyd’s but will definitely never return to this property.

I'm so disgusted with Ameristar's PR and security I was at Ameristar Casino in KC last Monday. After 2 hours on the floor playing slots we decided to go back to our room. As I approached the escalator with my fiance' behind me I fell backwards and caused him to fall as it was moving up. I immediately hit my head and lost consciousness. Our bodies kept churning as the stairs moved forward and kept knocking me back down as he tried to yell for help. No one came. (This escalator is located near the lobby/front desk) My entire body was being knocked around because i was unconscious and couldn't get up. He tried to grab me but the stairs were grabbing his skin on his bare legs and sliced his legs and back in over 50 spots. He finally was able to reach to shut off button and turn it off and brought me to the room and called rescue. I was treated for lacerations, bruising on my entire left side and shoulder and a head concussion. ( i still have no memory of this) My concern is the guests safety while in this Casino. No one ever came to help us. No one ever called the following days to check on me. I am deeply saddened by the staffs lack of empathy and their inability to provide safe measures. I will not return.

Great Time Nice property hotel room was a 10. Casino didn’t seem like anyone was winning much. Dinner and drinks were good and staff was very friendly. Would recommend staying at the property for anyone coming through Kansas City. Plan on visiting again.

Lies lies This place is full of liars don’t count on rewards promised!!! The property is mismanaged obviously! Argosy will take care of you go there instead DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!! SCAM ALERT!!! NEGATIVE FIVE STARS is what I would give this dump!!!

Worst Casino Hotel experience in 30 years!! This place gives KC a bad name and its a shame! I must mention that almost all of the staff here is amazing and the 1 star is for the sake of a couple really bad employees. I’ve been coming to this casino for over 20 years and have never encountered anything like this. The hotel manager Keisha if i recall correctly, is probably the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in all my stays at hundreds of casino hotels throughout the past 30 years. She must have a superiority complex of some sort because she has no regard for her employees and the guest. Communicating in an intimidating and demeaning manner toward her staff in front of guest was appalling. When confronted by my wife who was standing with our children she said. “Well if you don’t like it, you don’t have to stay here. It’s your choice ain’t nobody forcing you to be here. This comes after trying to get an issue and mistake fixed that was the fault of the hotel and the systems not working properly. We checked out immediately and when asking to make a complaint she had called security who asked us if we can do that from outside and that it can be done online. You need to leave the premise or we will have sheriffs come here to evict you. Security was nice and polite but didn’t have anything to say about the situation and just said I’m only doing what I was told.
