My Forever Favorite! An absolutely delightful experience from start to finish!
Southmoreland on the Plaza will be my “forever favorite” of places to stay in Kansas City.
Charming, comfortable, clean…with everything one could ask for… and location, location, location!… close to so much, yet quiet and private.
I would also like to mention that my experience with management, specifically Justin, was truly amazing. Each email I sent, each question I asked, was answered promptly and professionally…so welcoming and informative! When my flight was unexpectedly delayed and my arrival was very late, I was assured that all would be ready and it was! My room was simply perfect! I will be returning…again and again!

Lovely Urban Inn Super cute and comfy “Urban Inn”. Nice location and easy contactless check in/out. Toiletries in bathroom with robes and a well stocked morning beverage selection in the room. Loved our patio and listening to the waterfall in garden. Will stay again if in area!

Give Southmoreland on the Plaza a try! I loved staying at the Southmoreland on the Plaza. It was so much more interesting than staying in a hotel! There was a beautiful sun room. It was nice to sit outside and relax on my balcony. It was really quiet and peaceful. Staying here made my trip to Kansas City more interesting.

Nice place, weird operation I found this place on a B&B site, but that was misleading. I choose B&B's for the personal interaction and fabulous breakfasts. I found neither of these there. There is no breakfast, or any food at all. Also, there is no staff. It is a self-serve hotel. Very weird. To get in, a code is sent to your email on the day of arrival which you use to get into the house and again into your room. Location is good, the downstairs common areas are very nice. Our room was small, room decor is blah.

Great stay for a large group We were in town for a 17U basketball tournament and the entire team and their families stayed at the Southmoreland. It was perfect for our needs. Very clean and well appointed. Every little detail was noted. Because we booked the entire house, we were able to use the kitchen to cook and feed our crew. Perfect set up. Plenty of room to be together, with the privacy of our comfy rooms when we wanted to get away. Location was ideal.
Emily and Josh were very responsive & helpful for our needs. Highly recommend.
