Unprofessional and complete liars I travel constantly for work and I have never had such a horrible poorly run experience at a hotel before. I was put in a handicap room that smelled like urine, was at just above street level and had blinds that wouldn't close (single woman traveling) . When I requested a new room the first night was told sold out by Kimberly. Fine stuck it out. The next morning John at the front desk told me plenty of rooms that night and no problem moving me. He was awesome. Came back from a long day of work excited to switch rooms and Kimberly again tells me she talked to her manager and can't move me because they are sold out. When I asked to talk to a manager she went in the back and told me he left for the day. I asked for his card because at this point it felt like Kimberly was playing games. Sure enough called the manager number and guess who answered? Kimberly. So night number 2 I'm in a smelly room feeling unsafe because Kimberly was unprofessional and some type of game was being played. Do not stay here. The worst place ever. Handled horribly and complete liars. Btw the website has rooms available...

Not a bad stay Jan 8-12 Booked Courtyard Kemah location because it’s a favorite of fellow travelers with my company. Marriott-Bonvoy is one of our preferred vendors so we get a stellar deal. Arrived after a long travel day and course attendance. Upon checking in, my experience was smooth. Received my keys, downloaded the app and activated Mobile Key. No need to use the hotel key. Front desk was friendly and hospitable, answered all my questions. Entering the room, I found modern style setting, nightstands on either side of the bed had 120v and USB plugs. Nice cabinetry, iron and ironing board, fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. Plenty of linens, pillows, smart tv, king size bed and couch. The fitness center is two rooms; cardio and strength training. They utilized Matrix equipment which is really space saving in design while still providing great compound workouts. Fitness Center had two of those stations as well as dumbbells from 5-50lbs. Towels were provided as well as water, kept in the small dorm sized fridge. Well lit, ample parking. Within walking distance to great restaurants as well as the marina and Kemah Lighthouse Boardwalk. Yes there is traffic but it’s manageable and construction will be completed and freeway open as of 01FEB24.

Ok but not what was expected The room was disappointing. No shelves in shower to be able to hold your razor or toiletries. It's hard to shave for ladies. I'd rather the tub/shower combo. They say they do room cleaning every other day, which is fine, but they offer no place to hang towels in the bathroom. There is no place to put your phone or drink for a person who is sleeping on the outside of the bed. I have a cpap and had to place it on the floor as the room only has a nightstand in the middle of the beds, for the 2 queen rooms. A/c was a little loud. The room was quiet, though, for all the construction that's going on outside. The location was great. You can walk to the Kemah boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops. Drinks are a little expensive in the hotel bar, but it's convenient. Breakfast extra. There was microwave and fridge in room. Flat screen TV.

Worst run Marriott ever I have PERMANENT STATUS as I travel for my career. All I was trying to do was get the obligatory bottle of water that comes with every other Marriott I have stayed in. The stafff in this hotel are completely clueless and refused to to provide that water. In fact they wouldnt even answer the phone, I asked for manager and was given a card for Kenneth Fairbanks 281.334.0003 who also never answered. AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COSTS. Poor service rendered by moronic staff.
