Embarrassed for the YO legacy It is sad to see the YO decline so far from the glory days. Staff is friendly enough and the lobby is still impressive, but the rooms are run down. My friends decided not to stay and drove home in the middle of the night. The painted bathtub needed to be repainted, but should have been replaced in the first place! Motorcycles and cars gunning it late into the night didn't make the experience any better.

Great time! Good place to stay The beds are so comfy. Yes it is dated but clean. Buffet was amazing. The front desk was very friendly. It could use power washing outside but it is still an amazing place. The lobby is so cool. We will definitely stay again. we rented the suite which was awesome because we had 8 in our group. Used it as a place to meet and watch football and other things.

Great place if you like black mold and musty, humid rooms. Mold and humidity! The bathroom had black mold all over the tub and floor. It wiped right off which suggests they aren’t cleaning the floor or the tub. The room had and overwhelming odor of old lodge and mold. The in room a/c unit doesn’t remove humidity or is broken as the room felt like the humidity was 100% when it wasn’t humid outdoors. Why did I stay, I guess I thought it’s only two nights and I didn’t notice that booking directly they have a no refund policy. I suffer from chronic migraines and it ruined our house hunting weekend. Shame on me, when a local realtor suggested I book anywhere else I looked on Trip Advisor and the bulk of the 2023 &2024 reviews all called out the mold. I’ll never book another hotel without checking Trip Advisor.

Keep your expectations realistc THE STAFF -- The desk staff are WONDERFUL -- they were extremely helpful and cheerful. The went out of their way to help me make some adjustments in my reservation (due to poor planning on my part). They were not only helpful -- but friendly and cheerful in the process. THE LOBBY -- was LOVELY THOSE were the things worth bragging on -- and bragging is well deserved. THE ROOM - roomy and clean but NOTHING to brag about. Pretty basic. Showing a good bit of age. Could have used some work. But nothing to prevent a good nights sleep. The bed was great. I was a bit concerned to find the exterior door (to the parking lot) did not lock. BUT -- I've stayed in plenty of places where your ROOM door opened onto the parking lot -- so ---- NOTE -- I am CERTAIN there are MUCH NICER rooms and suites in this facility. I can only speak for the one where I stayed which -- by my choice (dictated by my finances) was the LEAST expensive room available. I'm not one to pay for beer and complain if it's not champagne. My disappointments were largely due to MY OWN UNREALISTIC expectations. This trip was a last minute decision the evening before and I had been browsing hotels much of the night and was still not entirely awake when I came across their website. -- I saw words like "spirit of the west" "ranch" and "Chisolm Trail" and rooms with either balconies or patios. My foggy brain put this all together and I envisioned either a rural - or at least edge of town - location in an area where there would actually be something to look at from your patio or balcony. Where you could feel some sense of being in the west. Those were MY NOTIONS --- and I MY MISTAKES. The facilty is right down town - next door to a Hobby Lobby and across the street from an IHOP (which did come in handy). As for the view from my "patio" see the attached photo. AGAIN -- I AM NOT RAGGING on the facility. The staff are GREAT -- and I am sure there are some great things there that I did not have time or money to enjoy. I'm just saying -- IF you are looking for the kind of place I envisioned -- a rustic - "western" experience -- there are better choices nearby. To their credit -- their website even mentions one that offers horseback riding.

Rooms are Horrible... Had a reservation for months. So we were going to a reunion and they offered a discounted price. We showed up on a Thursday before the reunion starting on the weekend. Checked in at about 3 pm. The young girl behind the desk gave us a room as far away as possible, so I asked if they had anything closer to the pool area and lobby. The older Blonde woman stepped in stated they were gong to have a "busy "weekend". I said, but it's Thursday, and I'm here. Honestly, when we arrived there were probably a dozen cars in the parking lots. So, I picked out a room on the second floor(no elevators) a little closer. When the young clerk, assigned the room, she said to the older clerk," this room is in maintenance". The old woman said, "it's OK". We went to the room, carried all of our luggage up the stairs, and went into the room. Dirty, no toilet paper, no soap, no shampoo, and no luggage rack. The floors were very dirty, and the room really could use a sprucing up. So, we carried all of our luggage down, checked the hotels in the area, and saw an opening up the street at the La Quinta(less expensive). But before that, gave them one more chance, by asking if they had a cleaner room with toilet paper at least. Asked if they had any spare luggage racks and the older woman stated that none of their rooms had those racks. So, I asked if I could get checked out and get a credit and she agreed. But, before that we walked around the pool area, as they list a "swim up bar", and a jacuzzi. Jacuzzi was covered like it was not operational, and the swim up bar is non existant. The lobby area is nice, and I had been in the bar years back, and it was nice. Looks like the YO, needs some serious updating an "cleaning".
