Great place to stay wonderful staff We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Key West. When I made the reservation online I mistakenly got the wrong dates. A call to the desk and Dashcare quickly sorted it out giving us the same rate and even upgraded our room. When we arrived she was a pleasant surprise at the front desk very kind and helpful. The room was perfect. I had a Vespa Scooter we unloaded there and the Security guy Frank offered me a great safe place to park it and had some great stories to share. Wish we had stayed here longer. Great food in several directions you can walk to.

BEWARE BEDBUGS !!!!!!!!! We checked in and went to our rooms only to find they weren't even made up yet. Rooms also smelled musty. When we went to use the pool it was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a week. We stayed 2 nights here on our way back to Miami. On the morning of the second day we noticed bed bug bites on our legs, arms, etc... Thank God we were leaving for the airport that day. I don't think we could have stayed here another minute. I would avoid this place at all costs.

A hidden gem for value and service, It doesn't pretend to be 5* , but it can be great value with super service. We really enjoyed our stay here , the staff went out of their way to help, were welcoming, friendly and ensured we had a great stay. We were fortunate to get a really lovely room overlooking the Marina area, which we didn't expect, and it did make our 4 night stay even better. It was lovely to look out at night and watch the sun go down, and watch the dive boats, fishing charters, snorkelling and glass bottom boats go out. For Film aficionado's you can see "The African Queen " pass by from time to time. The room was really spacious, well maintained ( It is an older building ) but everything worked and was fine. The location is excellent , so many options for pools , bars, restaurants , water sports, many within walking distance. As mentioned in the title , it isn't a 5 star Hotel, it is however an excellent value choice, with super service. It's a hidden gem in the keys for value and opportunity. If the price is right it's a great place to base yourself to access the wonderful Keys,

Old and perfect You get used to modern hotels and resorts, but somehow they never capture the feeling of classic resorts, especially around Key Largo. This is an older style, but absolutely right for this location. Great location on the waterway, with three nearby restaurants and bars. Excellent service is a definite plus.

Mixed review It was difficult to decide how to rate our experience at Marina Del Mar - some things about it were excellent and others not so much. The room itself definitely showed its age, and all the sliding glass doors on the closets were broken. However, the beds seemed new and were very comfortable (which was the most important thing to us). We also appreciated the larger refrigerator. The most difficult thing about the room itself was the overwhelming lemon scent when we arrived, like someone had unloaded an entire can of Pledge right before we walked in. We had to prop our door open for hours to try to help clear the scent, but my husband still had a headache until we left. Now for the positives - the staff were friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was very good, the pool was big and clean, and the location on the marina and close to restaurants made for a great island vibe.
