Ocean view room Ocean view is ok, if you dont mind that there is a road in between room and the water. The room is nice, and AC works very well. Bathroom was large. Bathproducts nothing to write home about. Not sure what is the possible reason for resort fee, "just because", I suppose. Breakfast is slightly more mediocre than expected.

Mostly great, Except Because this was almost mostly great review, I will start with the very excellent things about this property. The pool and bar and area Excellent and gorgeous. The views of the ocean across the street, the best. The shuttkes to Duval street and surrounding area, Amazing. The remodeled rooms and a/c were just gorgeously done, not plastic or laminant but real wood. The bathrooms, gorgeous. Teakfast very good. Staff, terrific! So why the four stars? First day and night, flawless. About 9:00 am it began. Hammering outside room, sawing, on the wall. I looked down and there were workman in full construction mode. We coukd not hear our selves. I went to office. They were in panic mode saud crew started a week early. I said they have to stop. We waited as it contined for a long time and i called demanding it to stop. Finally as the manager was heading over to talk with me to tell me it woukd stop and then resume after 11:00 am which at this point was about 45 minutes away. Never was i offered another room when they had better rooms available (I checked website) so I demanded to be moved. We went for a walk and they changed our room (which was an inconvenience already) our present room did not have a balcony this one would and woukd have beautiful views. So I got excited for the swap. Well that excitement went away when i saw a solid wall on the balcony blocking views and air flow. Behind that solid black wall were large a/c units which made our bakcony unbearable to use in our got summer even though there was a wonderful breeze off the ocean. The pictures will tell the story. In reality our first room had more room to use. So lesson for management to learn…you have a hilton honors silver almost gold member in your hotel for which hampton inn belongs to, you had a chance to elevate youur service and give us an upgrade for being completely inconvenienced instead you gave us the worst room in tge complex. Having been in the hospitality for over 25 years, this is how you shoukd have handled it. Mam thank you for being a vakued member of the Hilton Honors family, may we help you to a new room, please accept free drinks (which we got normally) but also a voucher for teo appetizers, and enjoy one of our open and best roomsl. Or your second night is one us for your inconvenience. Yes, we will be back your property is that special and our experience was disappointing but still wonderful. Hope its a one off and you all value loyal customers

We love this location for Key West trips The hotel rooms are great, spacious and clean. The staff is super nice and helpful. (Sam in particular was great.) The pool and pool bar is hands-down the nicest at any Hampton Inn I've been to (and better than some at chains you'd think of as higher end than this). The bartender was fun. The free shuttle to and from downtown Key West is the cherry on top that makes this SOOOO perfect. Way less expensive than staying down there, but easy to get there because of the shuttle. It also happens to be a stop on the Hop-on-hop-off bus and they have a concierge to help you arrange fun stuff while there. I will stay here EVERY TIME I go to Key West from now on!

Great Hotel Option in Key West for Families with Young Kids Spent two nights here in June with our family of four (two adults, two children). Location was great for us because we did not want to be right in the center of all the action and bars of Key West. This hotel is a couple of miles away from all of that, but it puts you right next to the sea wall and a nice view of the ocean. As others have mentioned, you are very close to the Key West Airport and you will hear the planes landing and taking off. They were respectful of sleeping hours though. I think the earliest I heard a plane take off was around 7:45 am. We did not have an ocean-facing room which kind of stunk but the grounds, pool, and breakfast were all great. The room itself was large enough for the four of us and our luggage with a tv and small fridge. The balcony could have been nice but ours faced a wall so we didn't use it. The pool area was great and never got too busy and we typically didn't have any problem finding seating. We appreciated the shallow areas of the pool so our 5 year old could swim and touch the bottom. Breakfast was great also with our entire family finding something that we liked. Transportation to the Duval street area was great; you just sign up on a clipboard at the front desk with the desired time you want to leave. The return back was not great, however. The downside to returning is that there is no form, line, or honor system on getting back. We got to our pickup location 15 minutes early but as others arrived there was no order and once the bus arrived, everyone rushed to get a spot on the bus and several of us were left once it filled up. The downside to this is the bus only comes once an hour, even if there are more people waiting to get back to the hotel. I'm not sure why the driver couldn't drop off the first group of people and then come back for the others but I guess those are the rules. We found a taxi that took our family back to the hotel for $20. Lastly, there is a $30 daily fee that covers the bus transportation, parking, and two drinks at their bar. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider this hotel again if we ever visited Key West. If you're wanting to be right in the thick of Key West's bar and tourist scene then I would suggest another hotel.

Hampton was a good choice We absolutely loved our stay here. Had a few hiccups at first but with daytime manager and her help getting a room change we were set. TV didn’t work and no phone connection which they seem to know about but neglected to put on website when choosing our room. Free breakfast each morning was delicious- changed everyday and coffee was good. When choosing our stay they offered two drinks at cheeky bar each day which was very nice- and you could upgrade to a better drink and ordering food very easy and could bill your room. Had sandwiches, fries and nachos from bar - delicious! Room were tidied up and beds made daily - felt pampered - staff all nice except for late night/early morning don’t know if they were tired or just didn’t care for their jobs but it definitely showed.
