Best location in Key West Opal is a first-class hotel and resort! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Oceanfront or Marina view can't be beat. It's worth the few extra $$$ Best location for the Sunset Celebration. We had a problem with our room, and it was handled in minutes via text. There is no need to go to the front desk. We were upgraded to a suite. Very nice surprise!

Great location So happy that we found Opal. A classic hotel. Fantastic front desk staff. The hotel is spread over a few buildings. Staff tried their best to find us the best room that they had available..our room overlooked the sea and sea life centre, we were very satisfied with the room and its location. On our second day we observed that the more expensive rooms with unobstructed sea views woke up to a cruise ship outside their room..I would not have been happy..! Parking is available but there is a charge..I still fail to understand why hotels insist on guests paying a fee to park. The location is superb, minutes away from the best bars, shops and restaurants. The Opal is definitely the best value and has the best location for this part of Key West. Thanks to all the staff who made us very welcome.

Couples trip July is off-season, and the rates were very low. Duval Street was very quiet, and the weather was wonderful. Opal key was AMAZING! Our new favorite resort. We had one ship dock during the time we were there. No problem, and low crowds. The rooms were spacious, and the balcony pool view rooms were perfect. The staff were wonderful! Location is better than staying near the southernmost point area. We rented a golf cart for 24 hrs. The hotel parking fee was $30. It was worth it to spend one day exploring the island and beaches.

Great location Amazing location! We could easily walk Duval and Mallory Square sunset is next door. Was welcomed with a yummy mango smoothie. Pool is small, but we only stayed one night unfortunately and didn’t use. Beds were comfortable, but shower was not cleaned thoroughly. There was some dirt on the shower floor which is why I deleted a star.

Walkable location to the Duval crawl! Excellent hotel on the water and in the heart of Key West downtown area of bars, restaurants, shopping….King room was spacious, comfortable and cleaned every day by the time you specify. Breakfast at Latitudes was a great way to start our anniversary . The Opal congratulated us with champagne & sea salt chocolates. Can’t wait to stay again .
