Lovely setting, no A/C and no free breakfast Overall, very helpful staff, nice room, comfy beds. No air conditioning was a deal-breaker in July... too warm in the room. Also, no breakfast included. For such a "high end" property, I was surprised. At the end of the stay, we were charged for a "resort fee" even though we didn't use any of the facilities.

Hidden Fees, friendly but super unhelpful front desk When I booked this room, I called the number listed under the “website” link for the reservation. They gave me a price and repeatedly said “That includes everything. All taxes and fees and everything. That will be the total price “ and said the “third party” sites would be higher because they didn’t include taxes and fees. she repeated that more than once. When we went to check out, they said we still owed an additional $70 resort fee. When I told them I had been assured the rate I paid included everything they insisted since I’d booked through a third party it didn’t. Also, the front desk was SUPER nice, just completely unhelpful. We asked if they had recommendations for restaurants, things to do, shops we could explore, anywhere we might find pamphlets on things to do. We were told “no/not really/you’ll have to go to Dillon or Silverthorne”. Really? Not ONE recommendation? The room was nice, but this place would be a nightmare for anyone disabled. The rooms are all one long hallway and the wheelchair lift to the restaurant was broken. Exits were a nightmare.

Spacious room for a party of 4 + 1 kid We stayed here during the winter. Although COVID has definitely impacted the area because many restaurants were operating at a very limited capacity or were closed. We would have to go into Dillon nearly everyday to eat. Hotel experience overall was great. Beds were comfortable, when we got hot we would open the windows.

Late March Ski Trip Great location, Very friendly Shuttle drivers dropped us 50 feet from gondola. Were given free night ski tickets ( night of arrival). Had our car waiting at front door 4:30 am on morning of departure. Young lady that checked us in even remembered our name the next day.

Bring your own heater and blanket. Not sure what has happened but my favorite lodge has really gone down hill. No heat in the middle of the night and no blankets. The front desk brought a space heater and some disposable blankets. No more robes for the pool. The pool locker rooms were all walled off. I kept asking if it is still a Rock Resort and they said yes, but the quality has really decreased. So sad.
