Worth the stay. Very friendly staff, the room is a little on the small side but it had everything you need and it was clean, clean pool area as well. They do offer breakfast but not a large selection. Close to the Main Street in keystone, very close to Mount Rushmore, if we return to keystone we would stay here again!

Royal Motel in Keystone This little motel was about 5 minutes from the center of town. The room was a little small but very clean and comfortable. All rooms are non-smoking. Each room has a fridge, microwave, and coffee-maker. Parking is ample. Access to the second-floor rooms is by stairs in the left- center of the motel or the outside stairs for the rooms on the right side. There is no elevator. I would suggest updating the carpeting on the outside stairs, because it is worn out and presents a tripping hazard. The walls seem to be thick enough to muffle out noice from adjoining rooms. Continental breakfast is served in a little breakfast nook from 7-9am that consists of cereals, pastries, juices, coffee hard boiled eggs, etc. I would recommend this motel.

Perfect for a Rushmore visit. The room was great and had everything I needed. TV worked well. Had a small fridge. Was able to park right next to the door. The person at the front desk was the same lady I talked to on the phone and she remembered me. Very attentive and checked on me after I settled in. The hotel was a few blocks from downtown and only 4 miles from the Rushmore Memorial. The price was also great which helped me as I was trying to stretch my dollars on vacation. This is not a luxury hotel, but it was nice, clean, comfortable, quiet, and very convenient to Mt Rushmore.

Don't Stay Here Odd shaped room with OLD couch that I assume opened into a hide-a-bed. We were desperate and arrived in a thunderstorm when everything else in town was full. We should have driven back to Rapid City. Find another spot!

Worst Ever Do Not, I repeat, Do Not Stay Here. You are better off at an Extra Cheap Hourly motel on the Bad Bad Side of Any town. This should be a Biginus 5 Stars. Owners are Rude. They Cuss at you when you tell Them that the TV does Not work, The WiFi is out of order, The sink is broken(No Water), Curtains/Windows don't shut or work properly, the Hot tub is Moldy and Not functional, etc... Just go somewhere else, even if its in Rapid City
