Hilton Vacation Club Mystic Dunes Orlando is the Definition of Hospitality! Let me start by saying that my husband and I are avid travelers and we staycation in Orlando often since we are from the Tampa Bay area. We have stayed in 5-star hotels that did not measure up to Hilton Vacation Club Mystic Dunes Orlando. Why do I make such a claim? The level of hospitality I experienced - I have never experienced in any other establishment in all my travels. I feel like it is important for this staff to be recognized for the outstanding service they provided. They are the definition of hospitality. The hotel has recently been refurbished. The furnishing, beds and so forth are in excellent condition. The beds & pillows are super comfortable. The kitchen area had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The hotel and grounds are impeccably clean. However, our stay in Orlando was not for pleasure. My husband and I took refuge at the Hilton Vacation Club Mystic Dunes Orlando during hurricane Milton. From management to maintenance, the level of professionalism and care that was given to us made us feel like we were staying with family during a very scary time. This staff worked around the clock to make sure their guests were comfortable and well provided for. Upon our arrival we were met with a Hilton representative who answered questions for everyone who was waiting to check in. The communication skills between the front desk and the guests were clear and precise during this scary time. Check in was done efficiently and as quickly as possible. I met Jake at the front desk. He was everything a front desk agent should be: warm, inviting, considerate and an excellent communicator. I explained to him that I was thinking we might need to stay an extra day due to the hurricane. He told me that at that moment he was not sure if he could extend our stay, but he would check into it. Several hours later we got a call from Jake saying that he could extend our stay. What a blessing he was during a very scary time. Conrad Hilton famously said, “It has been, and continues to be, our responsibility to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality”. Jake is the epitome of this quote. Maintenance and housekeeping rarely get a shout out on a travel site. However, when you are in the midst of a hurricane you realize all the cogs in the wheel that make a great hotel work. This team worked tirelessly to keep the hotel in the best working order during horrendous circumstances. Cleaning up, moving furniture - they never stopped working to keep the guests safe. Housekeeping was just as important. What a beautiful job they did for guests who were away from home. If you are traveling in the area and looking for a hotel/condo this is the place this place is for you. They have pools, restaurants, golf and a playground. Additionally, you have The Disney parks approximately 3 miles away. If you do go and stay there, tell them the Kearney’s said hi!

DO NOT STAY HERE Unbelievably disappointed in this property. We are here, because we lost everything in Hurricane Helene. We have asked to extend our stay until Friday morning, so as not to be sent out ON THE STREETS during the Category 5 Hurricane Milton. The manager on site is rude and unhelpful, the General Manager is "supposedly" nowhere to be found. The Governor is telling people to stay off the roads, and this property - one in which we are "owners" - is planning to put us on the streets in the middle of the hurricane. I've called the corporate office 2 times and left messages, still no return calls. I guess they'll have to have us removed, I will NOT be driving into a Category 5 hurricane. Oh, and the GM "conveniently" has his LinkedIn messaging turned off, one can only wonder why. Maybe my almost 20,000 followers would like to know. Or the 5,000 on Facebook, 2,000 on Instagram, etc. I don't know what else to do, I've tried all humane ways. Such an incredibly sad look for humanity. Maybe the property would enjoy the lawsuit, if we were to perish in the storm.

A great big "Meh" Everything about this place is "meh." It's not bad, but it's not great either. As some have said it definitely doesn't have the Wow! factor. The units are weird: They open up to a giant empty foyer you could play shuffle board in -- totally wasted space feels strange. Living room furniture very uncomfortable -- not at all conducive to relaxing. Thank goodness we got a renovated unit -- I went in an unrenovated unit and it was very dated and drab. The master BR and bathroom are very large and nice. The biggest complaint: The $30 + tax daily amenity fee is a total ripoff. $232 for the week for stuff we barely used. A huge profit pad for Hilton. All in all, I would not recommend this place.

Hilton Grand Vacation- Mystic Dunes The location was great. Close to Walmart, restaurants, food, and Disney. NASA is about 45 min from here. The room was big and clean. Was able to cook with the full kitchen. Was also able to do laundry. The master bedroom is away from the second bedroom. It’s 45 min to an hour to the airport, depending on traffic. There was heavy rain and thunderstorms during our stay, so they closed the pools during that time.
