First time in Kauai Beautiful place,the location is Great,Friendly staff and the food in the area Excellent. There's a lot of activities to do in the island like Hiking,Kayaking and Water sports.Place to eat around the island are Excellent like for Breakfast TipTop of the Chart Pancakes are Super delicious.

Point at Poipu in Kauai This is a beautiful resort for the whole family! The staff is wonderful. The grounds are lovely and the pool area is great for kids. The ocean view is spectacular! You can either walk to the Hyatt beach to swim or go to the beach at Poipu but not that far away if you want to swim in the ocean. This is the most relaxing place ever!

Beautiful resort right on the ocean (no beach) with well appointed kitchens but quite noisy The reason I didn’t give a five is the noise. There was a loud party that went quite late one night, but security did nothing. One of the other guests finally yelled from their balcony. We were on the second floor and heard every footstep from the unit above us starting at 5 AM. I don’t know how that is possible since the units are carpeted. There is the old problem of people reserving lounges under paloppas and then leaving for the day. No pool monitoring, but I guess those thoughtless people are everywhere. Don’t do the timeshare presentation even though the incentives are nice. It’s one on one, very lengthy, and very high pressure. The resort is right on the water and very centrally located.

Exceeded Expectations We have only been here for 2 days now and have already decided to make coming to The Point at Poipu an annual thing. The Bar and Grill at the pool puts out some of the best food (fish tacos, coconut shrimp, beyond burgers) and best drinks (mai tails, lava slides, margaritas) on the Island all served by the most congenial and hard working bartenders, Zada and Karen, we have had the pleasure of experiencing. The rooms are spacious, the views are wonderful and the grounds are impeccably maintained. We have been coming to Kauai since the late 80's and only now have discovered this gem of a resort.

great stay but dated rooms cool location on the southern point of the island. nice views of the ocean, but if you want to swim or be on the beach you have to walk next door to the hyatt. nice spacious rooms, but slightly dated appliances and decor. great pool restaurant! nice pool but a bit cold. fun activities for the kids to do and be entertained. nice koi pond right above the pool. somewhat near restaurants, but not in walking distance other than hyatt.
