Great location, but under construction Casa Loma is centrally located in Laguna Beach. We were told that construction would be complete before our stay, but it wasn't. Warning to all who are looking to book: Based on my experience, I would not expect the construction to be complete until at least November 2024, so be prepared for loud banging most of the day and areas where you can not walk. Once the construction is complete, this should be a very nice property.

Unfortunate Anniversary celebration During our early booking, direct with the Hotel, we were not informed that they were in the middle of a remodel. The Staff was great, not their fault. We departed early and were given financial compensation for leaving early. Because of its location and nice prior stays, we will give Casa Loma another try after the remodel is complete.

Terrible hotel, under construction. This was one of the worst experiences at a hotel for a vacation. The hotel was under construction, they did not disclose this. I paid $1200 for the room to get a view of the construction parking lot. Parking was ridiculous, because of the construction. Unless you had a hotel Pool room, the rest of the rooms are motel 6 style. Very outdated old furniture, stains on the carpet where they actually tried to cover up with a rug, but they failed to cover all of them. Absolutely no amenities in the room. No radio no speaker no upgrades no patio no balcony no view no service. The worst part is they actually charged us $1200 because of the location, they should be ashamed of themselves. This room shouldn't cost more than $200, we were in room 318. Do not go to this hotel.

A stay to forget Have been staying at this hotel since it was a motel in the 1980's. Great location. Used to have breakfast served to the room. That amenity has gone by the wayside. The place was under renovation. Dusty and noisy. Perhaps once the renovation is complete, we may try it again. For now, I would not recommend it.

Casa Loma Recently upgraded, pricey but the location is worth it, didn’t have to use the car once. Stayed here five consecutive years and we will continue to come back.
