Beautiful Maui B&B! We absolutely loved our time at Ho'oilo House. The grounds have a breathtaking view of west Maui, and the house itself has a ton of character. We appreciated that it was separated from the crowds, too, as Maui was quite packed with tourists while we were there. Dan was very accommodating and helpful during our entire stay. It was just a bummer that we didn't get to spend more time getting to know him and the other guests due to ongoing COVID-19 guidelines. Thank you, Dan, for a memorable week in Maui. We hope to stay at Ho'oilo House again!

Beautiful grounds Very relaxing place, and with the mountain and ocean views around the property, we could enjoy a scenic break from the hustle of sightseeing. Not far from restaurants either. Great for couples. Outside shower, inside tub. Tasty gluten-free scones.

Paradise on Maui My partner and I stayed 6 nights at Ho’oilo House and wish we could have made it more! Everything about the place met and surpassed our expectations — gorgeous setting, cleanliness, comfortable and spacious rooms, tasty breakfast, enticing pool, and generous and kind host. We savored sitting out in the evenings watching the sunset with a cold beer and found entertainment in observing the many lizards and birds. The outdoor shower was, as many reviewers mention, very relaxing and special. Dan was super helpful — he lent us beach chairs and an umbrella so we didn’t have to rent/buy, recommended beaches, and even cut up some mangos for us that we had purchased from a retired post office worker selling mangos near the shore. If you’re able, book the signature massage. The massage therapist sets you up in your private patio and uses decadent oils and scents throughout the course of the treatment. You’ll leave feeling moisturized and cared for. We hope to return one day. Don’t sleep on Ho’oilo!

a breathtaking oasis in Lahaina! My partner and I stayed 5 nights at Ho'oilo House last week and absolutely loved it. We stayed in Kohola (one of the rooms facing the ocean with its own lanai) and highly highly recommend spending the extra to either stay in this unit or the one directly across that also faces the water (not sure of the name). We spent our days going to various beaches on the island and then would make it back for sunset to enjoy beverages on our lanai - absolute heaven! The outdoor shower at sunset was also jaw-dropping-ly gorgeous. The grounds were impeccably maintained, and I loved smelling the plumeria trees every time we came and went from the main house to our car. Breakfast was delicious and super hearty. Dan was helpful, welcoming, but also laidback and left us to enjoy our time. Can't recommend this place enough. Word about Lahaina - make reservations if you can before you go for dinner!

All peace and privacy you can ask for This place offered the peace and privacy needed for a get away. There are beautiful views of the ocean to the south and the mountains to the north, and it’s located a little ways off a main freeway, so it’s easy to navigate to other locations. Upon arrival, there was a welcome letter on the door with our names, and Dan and Amy were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Going a little all out, we also enjoyed the The place was spotless, Bali styled, had a wonderful back porch that looked towards mountains (specifically, this was the Kipuka room), and an outdoor shower that was amazing! If you’re looking for a more private get away, go here!
