Good resort, average food, mediocre service The resort is fine, the amenities are good enough and it was generally clean. The on-site food isn't great. We tried both onsite restaurants and they were both not better than any restaurant we tried outside. The service was poor. We had multiple instances of folks either unwilling to help us or didn't really have a clue on how to help. An example is the concierge said there were no reservations available at Japengo (the in house place) and I whipped out my phone and there were slots available (and I booked them). They were also not really helpful in helping us plan activities - so we kind of gave up. We had a similar experience at the Spa - the staff was completely unhelpful with scheduling questions.

Disappointing Stay My private information was provided to an ex-spouse who was then allowed to keep calling our room at 1am to 7am in the morning. The calls continued after we immediately notified the front desk and asked that no calls get through. We still received calls. Eventually we just unplugged the phone. The front desk gave us free champagne and chocolate strawberries as an apology. Housekeeping only cleaned our room once, the first day of our trip, and we couldn't have someone come clean because by the time we would come back to our room later in the day, the cleaning staff "had gone home". We had no new towels to use on the last morning of our trip which even in hindsight was shocking. Then on the final morning, we were charged for breakfast because we ordered it as in-room dining but no one had informed us that it would be treated as a separate charge and the daily resort credit or free breakfast could not be applied. When I brought this up with the individual at the front desk, she said she could not do anything to help. Due to how our stay went, I had wanted to get a complete refund but could not stay and discuss because of our travel plans. The only thing that I felt helped was the late check out at 1pm. I don't want to say that our stay was a complete disaster. The beach was very nice, the weather was nice, the water was warm. The property looked very clean. I just wish they had done a better job about handling outside calls, trying to clean our room, and making things right.

Best Resort Experience This is an amazing resort with great staff, delicious food, a variety of amenities and great activities. Resort was very clean and the pools were so clean and kept at the perfect temperature. We loved everything the resort had to offer and can’t wait to make another trip back.

Expensive way to vacation with family Food options are expensive and not good at the Hyatt. You will have to go off site to get better options which makes it difficult for parents traveling with children
