Super welcoming Incredibly nice people work here, very caring. They had a seasonal cocktail table for guests. The restaurant was a delight and the folks working there are so kind. The hotel had a retro feel, but in a very good way. Liked the restaurant, woodburning grill.

Marriott Loyalist? Look Elsewhere. This “newly-renovated” hotel has a new General Manager and a new management company. They all have their work cut out for them. Front desk staff need serious training not just on Bonvoy status and benefits, but also basic professionalism and courtesy. The pictures look nice, but the renovation was like putting lipstick on a pig. The lobby was mostly well done actually, but this 50-year old hotel really needs to be taken down to the studs given how much damage and deferred maintenance it has incurred over the years. The rooms were painted and received new carpet and furniture. For whatever the reason the bathrooms weren’t renovated. One of the elevators is still problematic, which has been the case on-and-off for years. Employees in the hotel’s restaurant, American Kitchen, are friendly and do a good job. Maintenance workers are friendly when passing you in the halls. But if you’re a road warrior with Marriott status, know what benefits you’re entitled to, and have had good experiences at other Renaissance and Marriott hotels, this is a hard pass as you will be sorely disappointed as other reviewers have noted. The property has potential, but between the lack of training, rude front desk workers, and a renovation that was basically just new paint, new furniture, and wallpaper to cover up water stains and mold…it’s just a missed opportunity. Good luck to Davidson Hospitality - I suspect you will be receiving a ton of complaints from Marriott Corporate.

GREAT EXPERIENCE Karren was the absolute BEST I have ever had. The drinks were amazing, and so engaging with conversation. He knew what would be perfect when we described what we liked. Janice was incredible also and we greatly appreciate these two. Will be back.

Disappointing as best. DON’T book this Marriott Lifetime Titanium Elite here. I love their Renaissance brand. This place should not be entitled to bare the Renaissance name. Check in was poor. It took multiple tries to get the room I reserved. The service in the American restaurant and bar was horrible. The cleanliness was poor. The shower drain did not work and flooded the bathroom. Lots of conditioner but no body wash in the shower. Daily service did not even bother to empty the trash. The disney “extras” including transportation was a joke. My normal go to at Disney is the Swan or Dolphin. This place was awful. Don’t be fooled by the price. They should not bare a Marriott brand

Best place to stay in the area ! Absolutely loved this hotel! My son and I really enjoyed the ground-floor cabana rooms with our own patio next to the pool. The staff were super friendly (special shout out to Gisell and her team at front desk and Ramon in the restaurant!). Also loved the hotel’s interior and exterior decoration, modern yet comfortable. The lobby has a lot of space to relax, complete with a full library of books, magazines and newspapers plus charging stations for computers and cell phones. Definitely the best place to stay in the area, can’t wait to come back!
