Needs a full facelift Timber Ridge desperately needs an overhaul because to say it’s “tired” is an understatement. We’ve been here multiple times over the years and it’s been steadily going downhill with every stay to the point this is probably our last. The waterpark is fine for a short stay but my kids (10, 11 and 14) get bored after a few hours. This visit was a busy day and as the day went on the tubes started to lose air so many were sadly floating in the lazy river partially deflated. They were constantly out of towels so we’d get out of the (cold) water and have to wait 5-10 minutes for a dry towel. The bathroom near the waterpark only had 4 stalls and they are also used by people changing their clothes so use the bathroom near the lobby. The rooms are where things get really sad. The Grand Geneva is a beautiful resort on so many levels so the fact that this is part of that baffles me. Everything is so dated in the worst way. The room was fortunately pretty clean but the carpet is gross and there’s been so much wear and tear without proper maintenance. The only restaurant open was the one in the waterpark which was fine for lunch but we ordered DoorDash for dinner and breakfast bc you can only eat pizza and giant pretzels for so many meals.

Go Elsewhere I had to make at TripAdvisor account just so I could chronicle this abysmal experience. Been coming here for years without issue except for our last stay. An incompetent reservation staff member told me to claim a promotion at check in over the phone during my booking. I mentioned to this person that I was interested in the stay and ski package and that I am a season pass holder for the mountain top (which guarantees a room rate discount of 20%). The staff member acknowledged this and booked my stay. Great. I was then greeted with confusion upon check in and was told they do not offer this promotion on weekdays (?). Well, that would have been nice to know since I called to inquire about that promotion specifically. After some back and forth, the manager refused to acknowledge their mistake and would not honor their promotion for my stay, which ended up costing us hundreds of dollars. Eventually, the manager relented and "kindly" gave us a voucher to spend even more money at their restaurant. To say I was disappointed with the lack of integrity would be an understatement. This event put a damper on the trip which was then only compounded by these issues: - Our room was not properly cleaned - One hot tub was not operational and the other "Adults Only" hot tub was lukewarm in the water park - Our service at the mountain top was subpar, and they ran out of food for a second time that we have dined there this year - The restaurant at Timber Ridge also ran out of certain food items Additionally, from my experiences and from what others on here have stated: - The room amenities are dated and the "full kitchen" does not feature an oven - There is no room service, and calling for additional blankets, towels. etc is like sending a message in a bottle. - The concentration of chlorine in the pool was immense, causing our eyes to water from sitting in the "hot" tub If you see any promotions for anything at this resort. do yourself a favor and get everything in writing. Might even want to transcribe your phone call with them just to be safe.

Not the best experience The place was packed, which was okay except that they needed a few more lifeguards imo. Kids running everywhere and PARENTS not paying attention is the biggest problem. The rooms are nice and very clean but the past 2 years they have changed their soap or something and both sheets and towels are very stiff and sheets especially are very itchy. The body wash scent choice is terrible too. The only restaurant in the building is too small on a busy weekend and although dinner was tasty, but we ended with no dessert because the cheesecake was down in a freezer and had to be found. Breakfast was not good. The coffee was awful, we got 3 creamers each that we had to ask for, no regular sugar on the table and the coffee had a bad after taste. The pancakes were dry and for 2 of us the amount of syrup was about 1/4 cup...for both. The bagels were supposed to come with cream cheese but only butter was put out. The servers are friendly but some could use more training on table set ups etc. After coming here for 5 years, I think next years trip will be someplace new, 2 yrs in a row of not great is enough.

Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark We were staying at Grand Geneva, so we took the free trolley to Timber Ridge Lodge and Waterpark, which is located on the same grounds. The ride only took a couple of minutes. The waterpark is the perfect size for a little one. They have a couple of long, big slides and a deeper pool. Other than that, they have a lazy river, a decent-sized kiddie area inside and a smaller kiddie area outside.

Lake Geneva Water park was very fun for kids and staff was very friendly. Ice cream is good there and so are the suites. The second story is so unique in a hotel, something I’ve never seen. The arcade is fun but expensive and so is mini bowling. They only have 2 slides tho.
