Skylark Shores Resort

VERY NEAT AND CLEAN, FRIENDLY, SPACIOUS GROUNDS RIGHT ON THE LAKE I love to travel to places surrounded by nature, but not actual CAMPING. This place was perfect, grounds clean, spacious, grassed-in area and sitting-by-the-Lake benches as well as picnic tables, bbq pits, pool & shade trees. My room was clean, with what I consider necessary amenities: TV, Microwave, Fridge, coffee maker with coffee pkgs., comfortable bed, clean shower and bathroom, faucet worked great with hot warming up quickly, all the lights worked, and there was plenty of surfaces to put luggage, etc.,on the the top of desk, top of drawer cabinet & table with chairs. Most importantly, THE AIR CONDITIONER WORKED PERFECTLY. The temperatures on the dates I was here were 99 degrees ea. day. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They have "duck food" available for those who wish to feed the local ducks @ the Lake while sitting on one of the Lakeside benches looking out to the beauty of the Lake and mountains, especially Mt. Konocti seen clearly in the distance. This place is just down the road from Historic Downtown, and very near LIBRARY PARK in walking distance, which also has picnic tables, bbq pits, benches to sit & view the Lake and its water fowl and plenty of shade trees. I will definitely want to stay here again.

Friendly and clean, great little pool I drove to Lakeport with my motorcycle on the back of my SUV. I stayed a night here and then drove on the motorcycle through Mendocino National Forest for several nights. This hotel was nice - clean and has a lovely pool that was welcome on a sweltering day. The hotel was kind enough to let me park my SUV here while I was away on the motorcycle. I will stay again when I'm back in the area!

Memorial Weekend 2022 Great family experience. Would recommend for your next family vacation. Polite and courteous staff. A very safe and clean environment. My family and friends have been going to the Skylark Since 1987 on Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of things to do at the resort.

Great Stay The Resort location is fantastic, right on the lake with a lot of outdoor space to enjoy the lake views. The buildings are a little dated as you can see from the pictures, but our cabin had been updated with hardwood like flooring and was impeccably clean. What really stood out to me though was the staff and the hospitality they all showed. It started off before our stay when I phoned and spoke to Jeff and realized I had booked the wrong dates. He went above and beyond on a very busy weekend to rebook us into a cabin which we greatly appreciated. When we arrived, even though it was our first time staying at the Skylark, we were treated like we were long time friends back for a visit, and check in was very smooth and efficient. Our cabin, was great, it had a kitchen and was equipped with everything you would need to make a simple meal (pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc...it even had a veggie steamer!) We were there for a quick trip and didn't really use the kitchen for more than coffee, but it was equipped with more than some fancy air BB that we've stayed at. When we get back to Lakeport I will 100% stay at the Skylark, it far exceeded my expectations!

A great little detour I needed to head up to Lakeport for the first time to look at some land. I was able to check in at the Skylark Shores Resort. Excellent Customer Service. Everyone was friendly and courteous. The views from the dock of the lake are off the charts. You can fish if you like or go for a boat trip.Only thing I would say is the WIFI needs a little help, but other than that, I highly recommend.
