Causeway Bay Hotel

Terrible desk service when calling, put on hold for 25 minutes. We got in room and checked the sheets, never changed. Put on hold for 25 minutes, we actually drove there and asked if she was going to answer it. The sheets were never changed from previous loaders. We had to ask for clean sheets. So much dirt on bedding, and cooking smells throughout the floor level.

Horrible! This place was awful!!!! Ice Machine broke, microwave broke, no convenience store , they did not clean my room. No cable TV or streaming. It was the worse hotel experience of my life. I would not recommend this place to a dog!

Power Trip Bay Hotel — STAY AWAY!! Imagine getting pulled off stage at your brother’s Wedding ceremony of 400+ people from all over the world, and being told that the cops and fire department were called and were going to escort everybody out… for an extremely small + contained grain fire, approved by the venue staff as part of the ceremony, and that was put out within 15 minutes. Then, after being called off stage, you had to try to reason with the most creepy, disgusting, dishonest people you’ve ever met. Neither of these two staff members, a “man” and a woman, could even make eye contact with us, and escalated the situation immediately. Firemen came into the reception room with full gear on, and you could tell they were so embarrassed to have disrupted such a beautiful ceremony for nothing and turned right around. The cops never even came in, as they realized what a joke the Causeway Bay staff and ownership were. SHAME on Causeway Bay to make first responders waste their precious time on your hatefulness and ignorance. I would NEVER recommend anybody touch this place with a 1000 foot pole. I was told we picked it because of the seating capacity — FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! Greeted with a broken window at the front and grass coming up through the parking lot, it only got worse from there. Paint chips all over the walls, bathroom sinks rusted + completely falling apart, chandeliers randomly turning off, no sign for the woman’s bathroom… the whole thing was a mistake. Thankfully, the bride’s Father had great connections that helped us secure a new venue same-day, but I don’t think this could be the case for everyone. Oh, and nobody was able to speak to the Owner of the hotel, as he was some ominous super villain who didn’t give out his phone number + was out of the country… give me a break. This was the most poorly handled power trip I’ve ever experienced, and I hope this place gets bulldozed within the next 6 months. Stay away from Causeway Bay and the trolls that run the place at all costs! Check out their 1.5 star rating on Yelp for real reviews by REAL people! Pictures are way outdated too, probably from 7-8+ years ago — RUN!!

Beware--do not risk planning your event here! The management was shockingly hostile and nasty once our group arrived, disrupting our joyful celebration. Every attempt at a reasonable conversation was like slamming your head against a brick wall: please DO NOT give these bridge trolls your business and put yourself at risk of having a miserable experience.

We attended a Bengali wedding here with almost 500 people from all over the world that flew in to celebrate this special occasion. The bride had worked with a coordinator who fully knew the rituals that would be performed which included a small and I mean small fire where a grain offering was used. It did not last long and the fire caused no damage and it was performed exactly the way it was organized with the planner which was no where to be found on the actual wedding day. The next thing that happened was the hotel employees called the fire department to have them go through the doors to investigate with their axes and oxygen packs! There was no fire at this point. Then they called the police and lied about guests being derogatory and nasty! I am not Indian and I witnessed all this interaction and I can truthfully say that I feel this was racially charged and targeted and the main supervisor would not let the father of the bride even speak to the owner of the building. There was an evening event scheduled there with food and dancing, etc and they literally forced everyone to leave! This event was so meticulously planned and they literally kicked everyone out! The father of the bride was very resourceful and had another venue reserved within an hour and pulled it off as if there was never any issue! Shame on Causeway Bay! Why are you in business? Shut it down! This isa WARNING to anyone who thinks they can make this work! RUN!!!!! What a shame!!!
