Fabulous hotel and stay BUT .... We have returned here for the 6th time in 4 years. It is a beautiful and wonderfully restored and maintained grand hotel. We love Anne Sophie PIC's restaurant. Great SPA. Just a couple of small comments ... no bathrobes in the room upon arrival and no hand towels after the evening service. We chose the breakfast inclusive rate although we don't really eat much for breakfast. On the first day, I had a tea and asked for two simply fried eggs (nothing from the buffet) - they charged me CHF 22 extra for the fried eggs when the included breakfast already had a price of CHF 45. So, in the end I paid CHF 67 for one cup of tea and two fried eggs. Ridiculous. We stayed in 3 other 5* grand hotels the 4 week period prior and not one hotel had charged extra for the warm egg dishes.

My second stay at the Beau Rivage Palace This historical place remained young and in perfect shape. The location is marvelous. It's a great pleasure to experience a stay in this traditional hotel surrounded and cared for by courteous.

25th Anniversary trip We stayed at the Beau Rivage Palace for 3 nights for our 25th anniversary trip. We stayed in the beginning of November and absolutely loved it. The staff was very attentive and placed wine and rose petals throughout our room and bathroom. The view from the balcony overlooking Lake Geneva were amazing. There was a comfortable seating area including a sofa, coffee table, and chair, as well as a desk and tons of closet space. The bathroom had dual sinks on opposing sides, a full size bath and sizeable shower. The restaurants on site were very good and the breakfast was always amazing with lots of selections and a full a-la-carte menu to choose from. The spa area was well equipped with a steam room, sauna, ice locker, and himam. There were plenty of showers, lockers and a spacious changing area. The grounds were well manicured and had paths everywhere, and included a private gate to the International Olympics headquarters grounds. There is an outdoor lift that took you down to to street level for the promenade walk along the lake. There were 2 subway stations within a 3-5 minute walk from the Hotel. Lausanne is very hilly and the subway (only one in Switzerland) was very convenient and manageable.
