A horrible weekend at Campbell House As we approached the premises, we saw a beautiful view and thought that this was a great start to our convention. This is Hilton owned, we paid Hilton prices. I was told at the front desk that the rooms were not ready, and I would have to return later. We originally arrived after 2pm. We stored our belonging and items for the convention in our friends' room. We didn't get a room until almost 5 pm. I had to go to the front desk for coffee, coffee cups, tea, towels and washcloths. The next morning, we found out the dispensers for body wash and shampoo were completely empty. Another trip to the front desk to ask for the above-mentioned items. Each time I made mention of the lack of shampoo or body wash I'd get a blank stare- no explanation. I had to go to the front desk each day till we left. Housekeeping did make the beds daily but did not replace the amenities. There was no way of asking housekeeping, they didn't speak to us. Several guests at our convention mentioned the lack of support for solving the leaking ceiling incidents in their bathroom. One complained of water from the ceiling dripping on him while in the shower another while near the toilet. We know pipes align so toilets were leaking or plugged throughout the building. The bathroom near the convention rooms had a toilet run constantly which took the pressure off the others so they were hard to flush. One member from our group reserved a handicap room- lets just say she was told she didn't reserve one nor refrigerator for meds. THats how they wanted to solve the lack of a handicap room. The first room given had beds too high for the handicapped person. She had to sleep in a high back chair, the other had her meds stored in a staff refrigerator- where she had no access to her medication, no guardrails placed where they have inclines and declines in the hallways. When told that she fell, hotel staff did nothing. They received a handicap room the second day. Beds were lower, but the bathroom had a high tub with a board for them to sit on against the wall. The sink was right outside the bathroom, she was unable to reach the faucets from her chair. If this truly is a Hilton, they need to view their property to align this property to their high standards. The staff need to be trained in customer service and problem solving. They need to respond appropriately to medical issues. All staff need to have a minimal understanding of English to be able to assist the guests. And all issues brought to the knowledge of the front desk need to be responded to as quickly as possible. This definitely did not meet even the basic standards of any hotel definitely subpar for a Hilton.

Find someplace else to stay Very unfriendly to disabled. Steep ramps and long walks. Food was so-so and over priced. No refrigerator or microwaves in the rooms and I believe those to be standard amenities. Body wash and shampoo canisters in bathroom empty. Beds lumpy. I expected a lot more with a Hilton endorsement and very disappointed. Hilton should audit this facility to see if they should qualify for the Hilton label. I was there for a convention. If I had realized basic amenities were missing, I would have stayed somewhere else

Disappointing! The good: We really enjoyed the restaurant, the staff and food were great! The bad & the ugly: The hotel does not accurately represent what you would expect from the Hilton brand. The carpet in the hallways was EXTREMELY filthy - many stains and a strange smell. Hotel was just dirty in general. The ceiling in our room had holes in it. The towels in our shower were stained. There was trash behind the nightstand. The electrical outlet was hanging off of the wall. The air conditioner was motion sensored (?) and blocked by furniture, which caused the room to get much warmer than preferred during the night. I chose this hotel based on it being part of the Curio collection, which is supposed to be an upscale luxury brand of Hilton hotels. My family exclusively stays at Hilton hotels and this is not the experience we have had at any other Hilton property. This was a huge disappointment.

The hotel is old and it shows The Campbell house didn't live up to the Hilton Brand! This place is run down and the hallways smelled of mildew, stains everywhere. Our room had two outlets hanging out of the wall and a smoke detector with the battery taking out of it (pictures attached).

Book somewhere else Very outdated. The entryway was so dark I could barely see. Carpets were stained. Upon entering my room I noticed a smell related to the air quality. Also, the tub had mold in the corners and had been caulked over. The power went out during our training. It wasn't the best experience. I was unaware that I could change hotels because it was booked for work, but in the future I will be changing hotels.
