Easily the best holiday inn The holiday inn Childress vineyards is a good hotel in a great area. It is located on Childress vineyards. The hotel is comfortable and modern. It comes with a free breakfast and it has an amazing heated indoor pool overlooking the vineyards. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They have a spacious bathroom and blackout curtains.

It was a SOLID - NO. Yes, we had stayed at this hotel about one year ago. Wasn't at the top of our list, but it is convenient and the vineyard is extraordinary. In late May 2024, we were traveling on business. Though we tried to check in at 3PM, the staff said it would take them awhile to find a clean room. ?!? Our check in was AFTER 4PM. Our room was on the 3rd floor; we noted two dead roaches as we walked from the elevator to our room. ?!? The next morning at 9AM we were met with a sign in the eating area that I've also posted in the pictures. The sign read: "Attention. There will be no food this morning." ?!? Hey IHG - we paid for the room and a complimentary breakfast. ?!? Evidently a few guests had tried to access leftover food and had left their litter on the counter. ?!?Those pics are also included. But here's the kicker. At 9AM when we got off of the elevator to make our way to the eating area, there were four - yes 4 - staff sitting in the entry lounge area having a good time - laughing, talking and visiting with each other. Not one of them took the time to assist a guest, look for food, clean litter off the counter, or clean the floor in the dining area. ?!? We squeaked out a cup of coffee, and I've also included that picture because the coffee was full of grounds. ?!? We went back to our room and located a place nearby for breakfast. Rather than return, we opted to check out. Took us 35 min to pack and load up. As we were leaving the hotel, we exited the elevator and headed toward the lobby. Once again, 4 staff (same ones or new staff? we don't know and we didn't care) were sitting in the lobby visiting with each other. IHG: we absolutely know you can do better. You must do better. This was really a bad experience.

Terrible customer service at check in After a beautiful birthday celebration for my daughter at Childress Vineyard, we had booked hotel rooms at Holliday Inn. When we arrived the hotel desk clerk laughed in our face when she found that our reservations were made in Texas in Childeess , Tx. She was unwilling to even assist us with getting rooms. I have received such poor customer service. I am sure Richard Childress would definitely not be pleased to know that his patrons weee treated so badly at this hotel after enjoying a wonderful afternoon at his vineyard. So was extremely unhelpful and laughed in our face that she could not help. What a shame for Holliday Inn. Would not recommend using this hotel.

A wonderful few days at this hotel We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while doing a "wine weekend" with friends. It is almost on the grounds of Childress Vineyard, one of the best we have ever visited. Everyone was very friendly at the desk and in general. The foyer was attractive and inviting , and the breakfast room was lovely with very comfortable chairs. We ate on the patio also since the weather was perfect. Good food and nice ladies. One thing I might complain about was the fact that they only service the rooms every 3rd day. I absolutely understand the reasoning behind this, and our request for a couple of things (coffee, towels, etc) were willingly and cheerfully met. If we vist Childress again, we will definitely be staying here.

10/10 Experience I never write reviews let alone five star ones, but this hotel definitely deserves it. First off, the front desk people were really friendly. My family had no issues with them, as they were extremely helpful and kind. Second, the hotel itself was very clean. Our room was practically spotless! My family was also pleasantly surprised by the breakfast selection and everything was delicious. The outside dining area was a cool feature as well. The hotel itself is located next to a vineyard and the overall vibe is really calm and quiet. This hotel was 100% worth the money.
