Time to remodel Rooms are old and beat up. One side of the building faces the freeway and is really loud. The lobby is nice.

Good staff, good location The staff was wonderful. This is not a typical Regency, it's more of a Hyatt Place Plus. The breakfast buffet was better than a Place but definitely not the Regency spread. The service in the breakfast area was attentive and above average. The biggest issue was that our room had only one itty bitty trash can in the bathroom, that's it. We had to use shopping bags for our trash. The beds were comfortable but not long enough for anyone over 6 ft. The pull out sofa sleeper looks to have had the same linens from a prior guest wadded up, clearly not changed from last guest that used it. I would stay again but bring my own garbage bags.

Bedbugs!! Our child sustained >60 large bites by bedbugs confirmed by the hotel to be present in both beds in our room. Our child looked and felt horrible, and nearly required steroids to treat this. Hotel staff appeared concerned initially: moving us to new room and waiving the charges, and giving us small amount of points and offering a free appetizer at the hotel restaurant for our inconvenience (though why we wished to spend any additional time in that place was laughable). However we still had to pay for our 2nd separate room (on different reservation because of size of our family) despite our vacation being ruined, and we were offered no assistance in preventing us from carrying bugs back home with us. We now need to enlist a pest control company to evaluate our apartment, apparently at great personal expense. I sent an email to the hotel to follow up after we returned home, asking to discuss further compensation, and I received a reply that offered only "regret for our experience", not even an apology. My follow up email to that reply, asking for contact info for management, went unanswered, along with an additional message I sent to corporate email. I plan to escalate further, and will update the review once some kind of resolution is reached. In the meantime, you could not pay us enough to stay here again.

Kim is the best!! My fiancee and I booked a room last minute during our recent trip to IL, and Kim at the front desk was so, so, so helpful, friendly, and accommodating of all of our needs. She always went the extra mile and found some special way to take care of us beyond what we asked for. Truly the best experience I have had with any staff member at a hotel and I'm glad I listened to my gut after checking out two other different places before we found Hyatt. She is an absolute gem and deserves any sort of raise or promotion available!! I didn't get the names of the other two front desk staff we met, but they were lovely and friendly also. Thanks for a wonderful experience at a sensitive juncture in our lives. :)

Nice Place Great place to have a conference! Everything was clean and staff was pleasant. No complaints at all. Price was good and the online check in process was easy. The check out process was online and convenient.
