Disappointing Unfortunately The Wigwam was very disappointing for our recent family staycation. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. The child/family pool was dirty/hot and surrounding areas were also dirty. The "cabanas" at the adult pool were dilapidated with very stained cushions and broken curtains. Guests are only allowed access to the tennis/pickle ball court from 10:00am to 5:00pm, making it virtually unusable in the summer months.

Not great, Bob For my partners and my 5th anniversary, we decided to try somewhere new and came out to Wigwam. We arrived a little early (3pm) and went inside to check in. Understandably the room wasn't ready, but we received wrist bands for the pool, they confirmed that our payment for late check-out was approved, and was told we would get a text when our room was ready (around regular check in time of 4pm). By 5:30 we hadn't heard anything, so i called the number provided on my reservation. Getting connected to the front desk was slightly harder that I was expecting, but once I did, they told me the room was ready, and their messaging system was down, and thats why no one contacted us. It didn't seem like we would have received a call at all had I not taken the initiative, which is slightly frustrating. But I went down to the front desk and we finally got our keys to the room. Dinner at Litchfield's was a bright spot, food was good, staff was nice, and we enjoyed ourselves. The next day we used the pool during the afternoon, heading back to our room around 3:30 to clean up and check out. When we got to our room, neither of our keys worked and we were locked out. One of the cleaning staff called security to help us out, but after 25 minutes of waiting I just headed down to the front desk again to sort this out. The front desk staff, who was new to me, asked why we didn't use our extra keys. I told them this was the first I had heard of it. I was then told that I should have received a second set of keys for the late check out, which no one told me when I checked in. She had issues with the computer getting me keys that worked, and by this time (4:30), my partner called me and she let me know that security had showed up and let her into the room. I finally received the keys, and security stopped by the front desk to give me a ride back to my room. On the ride back to the room, even security asked about the second set of keys and why I didn't get them at check in. Seems everyone knew about the need for the second key set but the girl who checked us in and us. We live in Phoenix and like to do little staycations, both with just the two of us and with the kids. And to have this be our first experience with Wigwam just reminded me why we have always choosen to stay in Phoenix, PV, or Scottsdale at The Princess, The Sanctuary, or the like.
