Magnificent hotel that will exceed your expectations for beauty, comfort, friendliness, and value. This is the most magnificent hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at! The property itself is gorgeous, our large room was perfect, and the bed was so very comfortable with the most fluffy pillows! We ate at the Capital Grill and while the portions were rather small, it did leave room for dessert which was delicious. Breakfast in the One Eleven restaurant was superb both mornings. We were able to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the porch of the hotel. A great experience! Compared to similar priced hotels, the Capital Hotel was head and shoulders above and exceeded my expectations both in comfort and value. You have to stay here if in Little Rock! I know I will again.

The classic Capital Hotel We had the privilege of staying four nights at the Capital Hotel in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. What a wonderfully comfortable, classical but unpretentious place to stay, and a great restaurant. I can’t even compare it to a standard branded place. It was just excellent, from the curbside assistance to the bellmen and hostesses to the room and restaurant staff. It has been around for a few years and could use some refurbishment, but it will be closed for May for precisely that. We have booked another stay for the first week of June and look forward to returning. Fabulous.

My Visit - Five Star Plus Capital Hotel is a wonderful place in which to stay. Not only is it elegant and cared for; it has staff who are outstanding. Matt Nunn is in charge of reservations and makes life happy and interesting as he quickly identifies the wishes for your stay and is most informed on the aspects of things to do etc. while in Little Rock.
There were smiles and greetings from the valet team when we arrived. We used valet quite a bit going in and out. Most memorable were Chris, Billy, and Tatum. They made life so uncomplicated by having our vehicle ready on a moment’s notice, and everything packed and unpacked quickly; it is clear the¥ enjoy their jobs.
Once you get inside this beautiful hotel, we were greeted by Tammy Williams at the front desk. She has the capability to make everyone feel special and the check-in process a breeze. What a happy encounter again!
Andrew in maintenance made sure all of our needs that were a bit unusual were cared for quickly and efficiently.
One should expect these surroundings in a five star hotel; they should be the norm. The hotel stands on its own while this staff makes a huge difference in the guests’ stay. However, I feel everything went beyond the norm and I will return for more Southern Comfort.

Beautiful hotel under some renovations This is a first class hotel. The service is excellent and unpretentious. We pulled up after a long drive and were greeted warmly. Our baggage was put on a cart and brought to our room, our car was valeted, and he kindly went back to the car for a pair of glasses and brought them to our room. We chose the lower price room which was beautiful and large, but turned out to be an inside room that looked out to the other 3 walls of the hotel over the lobby atrium roof…it was claustrophobic and dim. Housekeeping was unobtrusive and our room was spotless and serviced twice a day. The bed was extremely comfortable and had great pillows and linens. The restaurant has an old world feel with a beautiful bar. The dinner menu is simple and food is ok. Portions were a bit small. We had room service breakfast which was fabulous and a delicious sandwich for lunch.
Drawbacks were no in-room coffee or refrigerator. We were told a coffeemaker was coming, but it never showed up. There is construction and scaffolding in the lobby which apparently will be completed at the end of May. The rooms are being refreshed with new tvs and in-room coffee…we just missed it by a month. The complimentary lobby coffee was empty both mornings we went to have it and it is only there until 10.
