An unexpected upgrade, an unforgettable experience We booked a junior suite in St James Court and were pleasantly surprised to be told on arrival that we had been upgraded. My first thought was that we might have a slightly larger room or one or two extra amenities. Imagine our surprise to be asked to follow the lady checking us in, next door to Taj 51 to check in there. Advised we had been upgraded to a 1-bedroom Falconers suite, we were immediately offered tea, coffee, water, champagne and felt like celebrities. Our suite was huge, with a separate living room/dining room and a full kitchen complete with washing machine, hob, microwave, toaster, espresso machine and fridge freezer. All utensils, crockery, cutlery and even milk had been provided! The staff throughout were amazing and the whole experience made our short break truly memorable. We had chosen the Taj partially because friends of ours had stayed in Taj hotels in India and had raved about them and partly because of the location which was within easy walking distance of everything we had planned to visit on this trip. We WILL be back! Though I fear we may come to expect such a grand room every time!

Everything you need in a great hotel Nothing but positive reviews for Taj. From when we arrived to left the staff were amazing and welcoming. We have our four month baby with us and they ensured he was well looked after at all times. The rooms were clean, spacious and perfect for a young baby with the kitchenette. The facilities (food and spa especially) were excellent - 5/5. Plus the location was brilliant with 5 minutes walk to Buckingham palace and 10-15 minutes to London Eye/Southbank. We will return no doubt.

Fab place + great location Undoubtedly a great place to stay in central london. Loved the location. The rooms were big and had all the amenities that we needed as a family traveling with a baby. The only glitch i faced in the overall experience was at checkin where the duty manager tried to upsell a higher category room. He kept switching between giving us a complimentary upgrade and asking us to pay and kept haggling on the price. It made us feel weird and this was not expected from a 5 star hotel. Other than that our experience was great; hopefully by the time we return again the staff would be better trained.

One of the Best Hotels in London - if you want luxury I cannot speak more highly of all the staff at the hotel. From check in to unloading the car to breakfast and eating in the restaurants, all the staff were great. Housekeeping came every day when we needed them to whilst we were out, which may have only been the evening, and the hotel was great. The courtyard was open and great to sit in whilst having an nice cup of masala tea, and the staff could not do enough. Always greeting with a smile, passing on messages to other department if needed and booking anything we needed. One of the best hotels in London both from a quality and service perspective hence why we have stayed her 4 times now and will be first choice for all future trips to London. So central as well and a nice short walk into Piccadilly and with Victoria just round the corner. Many thanks to all the staff and management team including Mohit for making the stay so memorable and we will see you again soon. Daljit

Another wonderful stay at Taj51. The customer service is always amazing, each and every employee goes the extra step to ensure all needs are met, so appreciated after a long day of travel. Taj51 is our home away from home. Although most of the staff are now new to us, it’s always so nice to see a familiar face when we dine for breakfast, Iskra always remembers us. She is so professional and on point, we so look forward to reconnecting with her. A lovely employee who we now consider a friend! I would also like to commend the young lady at the reception desk for her help and kindness settling our account.
