Amazing Stay My wife recently booked this hotel for my birthday as a surprise and it was amazing Check-In: We was greeted by a friendly member of staff who made this process extremely quick. They managed to deal with a for a lower level floor and explained all the amenities and timings for ourselves. They even explained to my wives surprise that we had booked an executive room so had full access to the Executive lunge (read further) Room: The room we had was amazing, the size, clean and the view was of the city which really was nice. It had a large bed, seating area, working desk, plenty of cupboard space and all the amenities including safe, iron and hairdryer. Bathroom: Again this was huge and clean. We had a separate bath and shower which had a rainfall head and jets within the wall. Spa: We had access to the spa area which provided a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. We made use of this and was good but there was a few downsides but not any that ruined the experience. The female changing was out of bounds due to building works and my wife hadn't changed in our room before heading down as we wasn't notified so she had to change in the disable toilet area which was a bit of an inconvenience. Another note was the swimming pool was cold, quite a common factor everywhere now due to the cost of heating swimming pools. Executive Lounge: As part of the room we booked we was granted access to the Executive Lounge which really was like being treated like a VIP. It had fridges full of soft drinks, a coffee machine and at certain times of the day it offered complimentary beers and wines. They also provided bar snacks like crisps and nuts and at different times throughout the day offered things such as breakfast pastries and canopies. This really was an amazing experience and worth looking at if staying and upgrade your room Breakfast: Breakfast was served buffet style in the Leo's restaurant. This was amazing and offered a huge range of choice including hot food, granola pots, cereal, fresh bread to name but a few. The food was of quality and cooked to perfection Location: This was great location with easy access too the tube, DLR and c2c network as well as within walking distance to major attractions Check-out: Again this was dealt with by a friendly member of staff and was quick and efficient We will definitely be returning and can't wait to visit again

Worth the money Had to have the room cleaned on first arrival, the queue at reception could at times be bad with only one person on and although well appointed the pool are was a bit dated and the steam room in particular needed cleaning. It was pretty rank. However you have to understand these were really only minor gripes. The bar and restaurant staff were absolutely superb and the person in reception really went out of their way to help us when both of our door cards got demagnetized when we were due to set off for a rather expensive show. The location of the hotel is amazing. The Princess of Prussia, The Gherkin, Walkie Talkie, Leadenhall Market, Tower of London and Tower Bridge so easily accessible. Really friendly staff.

Nice hotel, good rooms and helpful staff. Shame about the horrendous noise levels at dinner from an Xmas party. The hotel is nice and very comfy and I had a great experience being moved to a room with a good view by the duty manager. However, when I went down to the restaurant for a nice quiet dinner, they were hosting an office Christmas party on the balcony that runs the whole way along above the restaurant and the noise was excruciating. The two ladies next to me had given up trying to speak and were just looking aghast. All of the restaurant staff were just looking up at the balcony in disbelief. It made me just want to leave the restaurant. I could not even hear something I was trying to listen to on my phone with ear pods in. We know it's important for hotels to make money at this time of the year with Christmas parties et cetera but they need to be accommodated in a private function room… Apparently the hotel has 17 different conference rooms. They should not be on the balcony disturbing all of the Hotel guests who are trying to have a nice quiet dinner down below at the end of a long working day.

Would definitely return We did not experience the rooms. We only used the restaurant. The restaurant was clean with lovely ambience. Eduart, our server was totally attentive and courteous to us, he assisted us with our every request.
