Terrible Customer Service/Management "Not equipped to handle incidents". . We made reservations at this hotel through Hilton Honors site. We have been Hilton Honors Members for more than 10 years and NEVER have we EVER had a situation with a Hilton like this. We checked in online Hilton app on our arrival date early around 10am. Got to the Hotel after a long 6 1/2 hour drive, walked into lobby to check to see if room was ready early by chance, and it was unusually dark inside, a woman was walking around with a walkie talkie, and saw me standing there but said nothing to me until I went up to her and said I'd like to check in "this was at 2pm", she said sure, and guided me to a person at the front desk. He informed me that our room was not ready yet, but they would call me and let me know when our room was ready. we decided to wait at a restaurant till we got the call. We received a call from HILTON at 3PM letting us know they cancelled our reservations due to a power outage that happened at 12 noon and they were having to evacuate all people staying there and let any new people checking in know they have no place to stay now. We said we have children with no roof over their heads tonight, and we have to figure it out? She said that the hotel has been placing people in different hotels closest to what we came down for "a convention we were attending" and they were all booked now. So basically since the hotel didn't inform us hours ago and even let us check in after it happened, we would have to get a hotel far from the convention center. Long story later, they found another hotel nearby that had a few rooms left, but it would cost $106.00 more, "and that was without parking" so we paid $151 more. We are so disappointed on how this situation was handled, we are considering dropping our Hilton Honors and using a different Hotel chain rewards program. I also contacted Hilton directly, and waiting to speak with someone about this incident. I would have called the hotel directly to speak with the Mgr but They do not ever answer their phones, Even the Hilton Customer service rep tied to call them and could not get anyone to answer the phone.

Turning a Negative to Positive The hotel had a power outage due to construction next door. And Brendan and Amber with Hilton helped my daughter and I by letting us know when power was restored and helping us secure another night at the hotel, a Saturday eve and they went out of their way to be sure we were taken care of with the issues and power outage! Such a wonderful team there working to make a very bad situation better! Thank you! I highly recommend the Hilton Long Beach!

Worst Hilton Ever This is by far the worst hotel ever. You dread that your neighbor is going to be partying until 6am in the morning and you guessed it, we’re stuck next to a bunch of kids yelling and just being inconsiderate. Front desk is not answering the phone so you guessed it, stuck paying a premium price for a motel 6 experience. I would not get this hotel.

Teacher Conference for AVID This hotel is very nice. It has a wonderful pool area and very nice amenities. It is very upscale. I was attending due to a conference and had breakfast at the Mix. Jose was really nice as a server. While there I also sold a package for Hilton Grand Vacation by Patrick who was very nice and friendly. In all the customer service, the amenities, the quality rooms really add a lot to this hotel.

Don't waste your money, completely outdated, dirty rooms, the most janky Hilton we have ever stayed in I am not one to write reviews or one to expect everything to be perfect but I feel compelled to write a review about our stay at the Hilton Long Beach. We have been Diamond Members with Hilton for about 6-7 years now. We travel quite a bit for work and sports, we always stay at Hiltons. This hotel is really showing its age, the carpet was nasty, the grout in the bathroom was dirty, the shower diverter didn't work well and if you pulled on it too hard the spout was about to pull out of the wall so all you got a was trickle out of the shower head, the furniture was falling apart and pretty dirty. As soon as we checked in, after an extremely long travel day, I knew we couldn't stay there for more than one night. I immediately went back down to the front desk and asked them to let us check out the next day without any charge. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because the lobby was nice and the food we had at the restaurant was good. I'm am honestly blown away that a hotel that cost us about $300 for one night, their flagship luxury brand, could possibly be in such disrepair. We checked out and moved to the Hampton Inn near the airport and I feel like I am in a luxury hotel compared to the Hilton Long Beach. What a waste of money and so disappointing to have to change our plans and move to another hotel during our short stay in Long Beach
