Don't get scammed by this hotel Please save yourself the hassle with this hotel. Once you book, there is no way to modify your reservation. You will just get error messages. Then when you try to call, there is not one phone number listed anywhere on the internet that is valid, they are all inoperable numbers. Then if you try to modify from the confirmation email that also goes to another screen with an error message. Had to cancel my credit card so that I was not charged twice, as the system also booked the room twice. No email response when emailing the general contact email or the manager "Wayne@hotelcurrent.com" Very Poor business practices and I fear this is a scam hotel.

Visiting daughter at Cal State Long Beach Great hotel. Beautiful remodel! Chic and boutique style hotel with a super convenient location. Hotel staff Very accommodating! Nice pool and safe parking included. Locating on PCH near college, marina and upscale mall.

Basic but it worked for me Pretty basic, but it is nicely decorated and was perfectly located for my weekend in Long Beach although not within walking distance of a ton of things. The pool area was nice and not crowded on a Friday, and I didn’t find it overly loud. Definitely ask for a first floor room if you don’t want or can’t do stairs.

Fine stay, but beware pictures are deceiving I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it has been renovated 'recently', but before booking, understand what type of property this is. All the rooms are exterior-entry (think of a stereotypical motel from the 60s) - two stories, limited views. The decor in the lobby and in the rooms is modern and hip - looks great. But there is quite a bit of wear and tear in the furnishings and walls / doors. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location is actually quite convenient - but you just need to know exactly the kind of place it is. Location, style, etc. is all geared towards tourists / casual / family travel - NOT business travelers (unless your business is at Cal Univ L.B. Keep in mind - this is not a hotel, it's a motel - and if you're doing business either downtown or near the convention center, you're a 15-20 minute ride away. Also, as others mentioned, the AC / ventilation unit was Very loud. It was a solid 3-star property and 3-star review. And yes, sketchy people walking around the parking lot but leave them alone; they'll leave you alone. Worst case keep a couple of spare dollars in your wallet to give them and they'll go away.

The full motel experience I know L.a. is an expensive city, but this hotel is by far the worst quality price I ever paid. And not only is it expensive but they charge you 15 usd for leaving your car in the parking, where I literraly saw a homeless person crossing with his cart (does he live here?). This is basically a motel which is the physical representation of the expression "put lipstick on a pig". Horrendous smell in the room, clugged sink, water bottle 5 bucks a piece, paid reviews, be ready for the full experience.
