Holiday Inn Los Angeles - LAX Airport by IHG

Pleasant stay prior to flight Our room was very clean and the staff was pleasant. The food at the restaurant in the hotel was quite good with more than expected portions. Our only complaint was the unreliability of the Airport Shuttle. We witnessed people waiting for a shuttle approximately 8 pm; only to see a shuttle arrive and drive to the back of the hotel. He went into the hotel and turned his keys in stating he was done for the night. Those people had to wait once again for another shuttle. In the AM, my daughter and I stood outside for 1/2 hr; and as no shuttle had arrived yet, we called for an Uber. Needless to say, our ride arrived prior to a shuttle; so if you are looking for a hotel near the airport with shuttle service, you must be more patient than me I guess.

Clean, comfortable and safe airport hotel. Check in was quick and easy, and reception was friendly. The rooms are fairly basic and nothing special, but it was a clean, comfortable and safe hotel to spend the night. We got the free airport shuttle with a lot of luggage without any issues. The McDonalds directly out the front was handy for dinner. We felt the hotel breakfast was a little expensive given it was an additional cost; it was just like the standard hotel breakfasts that are usually complimentary at most chains. Overall, for the price we found it a good choice and would stay again.

I feel like I didn’t get what I paid for. I booked this hotel well in advance of our trip, for two queen beds. I’m traveling with my husband and our three children. We came to Los Angeles to celebrate the end of my daughter’s chemo therapy by seeing Meghan Trainor at the Forum. We arrived after the concert and the first thing I noticed is the entrance is a little difficult to get into. There’s a McDonald’s in the front.. I pulled up to the front doors, went to check in and was told that we were placed in a handicap room with one queen bed and a twin. Let me clarify that I did reach out to the hotel and ask for an early check in. When the day of check in came, I didn’t hear anything. Check in is at 3pm so by 2 pm I reached out and asked if the room would be ready early and I received a response saying we could come right then but it was already after 2pm and we had a concert to get to at 3pm. So that didn’t work out… So we arrived after the concert and I was told we only had a room with one queen and one twin, I was taken aback. There’s no way that’s going to work for my family. I asked her if there were any extra beds, she said no. I asked if there was a rate difference she said no. I asked if there was anything with two queen beds like I paid for and she said no. I’m curious if they just switched us over to the handicap because it was readily available for early check in? If they would have asked if we were okay with the handicap room for early check in, I would have said no thank you. It was mostly unpleasant.

$40 a Night Parking Fee Parking was $40 a night but when I looked it up online it says it is included which it is not. The front desk was friendly and the rooms were clean although the lobby and elevator were a bit older the room seemed to be updated. Overall a nice stay but the $40 parking fee probably makes other hotels relatively cheaper to stay at. It is very close to the airport which is good and it has a gas station near by in case you need to return a car with gas.

Comfortable Hotel close to Airport I stay in this hotel for one day during my time in LAX. Comfortable hotel with really big and nice room. WC very big and full of all tools. Good food…and restaurant. The BBQ hamburger with cheddar and bacon was delicious. Tasty French fries. Good position close to Airport.
