Failure at Ritz Carlton LA LIVE! DO NOT VISIT. TERRIBLE SERVICE for this brand!!! Called and checked with guest services 4 days before. Confirmed reservations with Marianna Sanchez. Helpful! I’ve been trying to turn it on and turn it off Called when I landed in LAX to confirm rooms and arriving. Checked in on line as well. Reserved a Junior suite with connected room for 2 nights. Arrived at the hotel and they had given away one of the rooms!!! Waited for 30 mins while they tried to fix. Finally got a similar arrangement although short an expected bed. Got to the Suite and the AC does not work and a bad smell. For a Ritz Carlton suite are you kidding me? I’m spending over $1000 per night here. They are only good at apologizing! I want the service this brand should bring. I won’t be staying here ever again. This place is amateur all the way. They just don’t care. Sorry but have to recommend stay somewhere else for sure.

The Ritz Nestled within the JW Marriott, this private and comfortable hotel offered everything you would expect from the Ritz Carlton. The staff is exceptionally helpful. The breakfast at the JW is good but the staff is so friendly and helpful they try to provide you with anything you need or want.

Don’t waste your money…Don’t play with me!! First off my reservations was mixed up by the call in staff through the Marriott, who had me booked at another Marriott property, when I clearly asked for reservations at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey. They booked me at another Marriott Property in Marina Del Rey which was entirely wrong. The Ritz Carlton was very disappointing from the time I registered at the front desk. Because I did not have the reservations I thought, one of the desk agents gave me a quote on rooms higher than the agent prior to him 5 mins before…then after I decide to book the room, he then charges me full price for the 7 day stay and incidentals and I hadn’t been there 5 mins. What the hell, I was not going to run out!!! When I addressed it with the manager, he said that was their policy, if I was using a “debt card”…that pissed me off!!! I wasn’t using a debt card.. and how dare you think I was, so you charged the entire amount thinking I was using a debt card. I really felt I was not wanted at the hotel and I decided to check out 1 hour after informing the Manager on duty what had happen. After speaking to him he stated it was their policy to charge the entire bill upon arrival. Because I have traveled the world, I know this not to be true.. and for you to blatantly suggest that this is policy…I’m throughly disappointed. Anyway, this matter will be taken up with a higher chain of command, as I feel I was being profiled by staff, as a business owner and a highly respected professional I am highly disappointing and it started my vacation off on a bad note.. Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey is classless.. don’t waste your time. I left and went to a better property in Beverly Hills don’t play with me!

What has happened to this brand? If you think you will get the “ritz” treatment, think again. I have traveled from the east coast to the west, and of all the properties I’ve stayed at, Ritz Carlton gets the lowest reviews. First off, covid is real but why spend the money here if you get zero amenities? In this Ritz, No room service for starters and you have to share the Marriott pool next door which was packed with people. Also, the housekeepers came into my room while I was in room and started cleaning. I had my AirPods in so not their fault but then such attitude when I asked them to come back later. “I’m off at 3:30” was response!” Asked for robes, did not receive. Asked for toilet paper. Not delivered. Our luggage was finally delivered after 3 calls. Boyfriend is titanium level. Miserable service.

Exceptional stay in Downtown Los Angeles! We had a wonderful stay at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Los Angeles, despite all the restrictions in place due to Covid-19. The staff was attentive and our room was a wonderful space to return to after being out around the city all day. Currently, services are limited and the Club Lounge, fitness centers, pool, and all other amenities outside of the room are closed, but we understand that the company is doing all that it can to help people feel safe during this time. I look forward to returning when we can take advantage of all that the hotel has to offer. As parents of a college student near DTLA, we have stated in several hotels in the area to be near campus, and our stay at the Ritz Carlton DTLA was by far our best experience.
