Overnight Stay I stayed here overnight while waiting for family members to fly into LA. I was able to use my Marriott points, which helped out alot. I was able to check in pretty painlessly, and was able to use cash for incidentals, however, $200 was a bit much, I thought. I did get it back at checkout. My room was clean and had a nice view on the 23rd floor. I got a drink and food at the bar area, which was pretty good. Overall, my stay was short, so I can't really provide further details about the property.

MANAGEMENT AND HOTEL ARE THE WORST !!! STAY AWAY !!!! UNSAFE UNSAFE !!!! It all started when I booked a room and my CREDIT CARD GOT COMPROMISED. I called and spoke to Steven an incompetent telephone representative who just didn't care. I was able to speak to Mario the on-duty Manager. Mario was great and took care of my issue. Mario is the only thing good about this place. The day before my trip I called to get my reservation number, because the number I was given did not work and I was unable to log in for early check-in on my app. I explained to the person who answered the phone that all I needed was my Reservation Number. She immediately transferred me to Reservations, where I sat on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back the hotel. The same female answered the phone and said she was transferring me to Reservations. I asked her not to transfer me and SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I called back 2 more times and asked to speak to Mario or the MANAGER. She told me there were no managers available. When I asked when they would be available she HUNG UP ON ME TWO MORE TIMES. The next day when I checked in I asked to speak to the Manager. I spoke to Manager HONG TAN. HONG DID NOT CARE. Hong questioned me if I called the right number and asked if it could have just been a bad connection. HONG WAS INCOMPETENT. Hong would be over his head managing a roving Hotdog Cart, let alone a major hotel. Seeing HONG did not care, I asked for the names and telephone numbers for the two managers above him. Hong gave me BONNY at (213) 624-1000 X 4718 and some other empty suit at the same number and X4734. I CALLED THE UPPER MANAGEMENT 3 TIMES ASKING FOR A CALL BACK AND THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. THEY DON'T CARE. Now lets talk about this DUMP. If you're a want to be Dope Smoking Rapper this is the hotel for you. You can always find people in front of the entry doors smoking Marijuana. For being a non smoking hotel, the interior smells of burnt Marijuana. I complained about Marijuana smoke coming through the vents and into my room and they told me they can't do anything about it. THEY DON'T CARE. Take a walk on the 4th Street side of the building and watch the EMPLOYEES SMOKE WEED on the side of the building. Huge Homeless Encampment on the 3RD Street side of the building, with HOMELESS SPILLING INTO THE HOTEL LOBBY AND PASSING OUT ON THE LOBBY FURNITURE. ON THE SIDEWALK NEAR THE FRONT DOOR WAS HUMAN FECES. Never during my stay did I see the staff wipe down a table or disinfect a common touch point. My Room: Paper thin walls, my safe was not bolted to the shelf. Anybody could have come in and walked out with the safe with no effort. My bed had only 2 sheets. I asked for a blanket and bedspread like the other rooms. I was told they would send somebody up immediately. After 3 hours nobody came. I went to the front desk and again asked for a blanket and bedspread. THE EMPLOYEE HANDED ME A BLANKET AND BEDSPREAD AND TOLD ME TO MAKE MY OWN BED. THEY DON'T CARE. I've filed an on-line complaint and left a telephone message at the corporate office, with no response. WESTIN / MARRIOTT DON'T CARE. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY. I have sent the CEO a letter, lets see if he cares. I'm not holding my breath that I will get a response. CHECK THE HILTON NEXT TIME. YOU WILL BE MUCH HAPPIER AND SAFER. HEY MANAGEMENT FEEL FREE TO CALL ME IF YOU CARE ABOUT THIS REVIEW. We all know the answer. THEY DON'T CARE.

40 minute wait for anything, Poor Service The hotel property is fine, the service unexceptional in my opinion. When I arrived I waited 20 minutes to get my rental car through the valet line. I checked in electronically in the morning and my room was ready but I could not get the electronic key. I waited in the Bonavoy line which was much shorter for twenty five minutes to be told the electronic check in has not worked for Marriott for two weeks. They could tell me my room was ready via text but not that the electronic key inoperable. The valet took twenty minutes, even after calling ahead for my car. The Starbucks line was wrapped around the entire hall. Perhaps it’s a labor shortage? No one answers any if the phones. It’s inexcusably poor service all around. Why bother? Stay elsewhere in my opinion!

There's no way this is a 4-star hotel... I can't think of a circumstance under which I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It's hard to believe it's part of the Westin hotel chain and it's ridiculously overpriced for what you get. The location is not good for tourists and there's very little within walking distance. The parking garage is super expensive and it was actually full part of our stay so we had to look elsewhere to park. The room was basic and smelled like it was once a smoking room. It also did not look like it had been cleaned very well. The walls are thin so be prepared to hear your neighbors throughout the night. Because of Covid they offer very few amenities, don't clean your room, bring towels, etc., yet 90% of the people are walking around unmasked. So which is it? Bottom line: for what you pay you can find something as nice or nicer in a better LA location.

Terrible! Noisy, smoky, no services, no employees, no parking, no sleep. This hotel is like a post-apocalyptic nightmare. There's no staff, no service, nothing is open, most of the building is empty, nowhere to park (you have to go across the street but then they have it gated closed so you can't get in and have to walk the whole way around the building which is really sketchy), the entire building is locked except the front so you can only enter there. No real platinum services. We got breakfast vouchers that they then charged us for! We had to argue to get all the charges removed. What are vouchers for if you're going to be charged for what you get?! It's supposed to be a non-smoking hotel?! We have never been around so much smoking! WEED smoking. My 13 year old was amused. The first night the people in the room next door to us smoked all night and it was SO strong that my hair smelled the next day. It was unreal. On the second night the people on the other side of us played loud music (and smoked) until 5 am. Awesome. It's such an old building that it's so noisy that it's as if a window is open even though they don't open at all. We were on the 21st floor and we could hear EVERYTHING on the street. In addition, they were doing construction on the street directly below us and it was 24/7 over the weekend. That was fun! It wasn't super clean and we were out of toilet paper after one day. We had to go and get some ourselves because they are not cleaning rooms unless you specifically request it. I assume because they literally have no staff working. On the plus side - the building architecture was interesting. The room had been recently re-done. Those are not reasons to stay there. Don't bother. We would never stay here again. Horrific.
