You must try a Hot Brown The Hot Brown at this restaurant is the best. It was created here. It is smothered in mornay (cheese) sauce. Delicious! Opt for the small one, or split the large one. They are large. The service was great and the restaurant is very pretty inside.

Nice hotel with great food and service. Food was excellent; staff was great - special shout out to Jefferson who staffed our concierge lounge for the week. He was so friendly and accommodating. He knew us all by name and our wine preferences. He was so quick to clear the tables. Super!

Just nice, needs a renovation For many years, the Brown has always been one of the top options to stay in Louisville. That's definitely not the case anymore. Visited for a wedding and stayed for a couple of nights. I'm glad we didn't spend much time at the hotel because it's not really inviting. It's located in a part of Downtown Louisville that is rapidly deteriorating so there's a lot of homeless people around, even by the front door of the Hotel! It just doesn't feel safe, especially when there was an armed police officer just standing by the door when we first got in. Check-in process took a while as there was no one at the Front Desk. When we entered our room we smelled an overwhelming stench of old cigarette smoke and the air felt also humid and moldy. The view was also nothing to write about. The room had a huge walk-in closet, which we couldn't use because there's no light inside and it's just too dark. The bathroom was big and luxurious, and so was the bed. Very comfortable. I've had a much better experience the many times i've stayed at the Crowne Plaza Airport and the Galt House, and both of them charging LOT less than the Brown.

Fine hotel and service! Neighborhood iffy. Fine hotel and service. Neighborhood iffy. Connecting garage convenient and less expensive than valet.. if you don't care about in and out. The restaurants were very good. Had dinner and weekend brunch. The brunch was not advertised on the website and we didn't want a full brunch, so we split a small Hot Brown.

Holiness of Hospitality! Our organization co-sponsored a several-day conference. We enjoyed every aspect of our experience: hospitality, conference spaces, and friendly staff. We spent several mornings having coffee and breakfast at the J. Graham Cafe and loved the entire staff. Louise runs the place with an emphasis on the “holiness of hospitality.” We also appreciated Stephanie at the front desk - she actually helped us move our luggage into our room! Harold and Matthew in food and beverage made my ten-year old son feel special when they spent time talking to him, filing up his water glass, and bringing him ice cream. The front door staff always opened the doors with a smile and the desk staff always answered all of our questions.
