Service and location TOP Hotel Francisco I in Madrid exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect, centrally situated with easy access to major attractions, shopping, and dining. The service is impeccable, with staff always ready to assist with a smile and keen attention to detail, they are friendly, professional, and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
I will definitely be back every time I travel to Madrid.

Good Hotel for a short stay. This hotel is ideally located to base yourself in Madrid with the Opera and Sol Metro stations equidistant about a 2 minute walk away.
The rooms are clean and modern and well presented. I had a twin room and it was larger than any room I have stayed in a capital city before.
The breakfast was plentiful in choice, the hot choice had no warming plates underneath which made for lukewarm food, it didn’t stop me eating it though !.
If you’re looking for a getaway in Madrid you could do worse than book here.

Poor Hotel Reception Service Staying at Hotel Francisco I. We inquired with reception yesterday about seeing Segovia since it’s the main reason we came to Madrid. Today was our only day to see it. The receptionist didn’t follow up with the information. This morning we asked again and were given instructions on how to get there by train. Unfortunately when we got to the station the train was already full. We returned to the hotel and learned that the hotel had tours to Segovia, which wasn’t mentioned to us earlier. We would have appreciated the tour information to save us the hassle of finding Segovia ourselves. So disappointed with the hotel reception. They seem not to care.

Unfriendly reception staff Pro: nice little niche hotel in great location. Room is nice. Nespresso machine provided but only with espresso glass cups. So if you want a cup of tea, it will be a problem.
Cons: room walls are paper-thin, you can hear everything in the next room and we could hear crying baby and kid running around and someone showering. Unfriendly reception staff. Air conditioning not working the first two days in 37 degrees heat. We had breakfast all 5 mornings of our stay. Breakfast was cold although it was meant to be warm at the least (scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon), rolls were hard, milk and yoghurt not displayed in ice but just left out.

Delightful Hotel My husband and I and 2 friends stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We all thought it was a lovely hotel. Everywhere was spotless. The general toilet on first floor was spotless and smelt divine. Loved the attention to detail on each floor as you came out of the lifts and into the corridors. Nice touch to have dishes/jars of sweets to help yourself to. We stayed in room 315 and again spotless - great bathroom with robes and slippers provided. We didn't partake of the mini bar but we thought the prices were reasonable. All staff were friendly, cheerful , efficient and attentive . We all enjoyed the breakfasts and agreed there was plenty of choice. I had eggs cooked differently each morning and all delicious. The hotel is on a busy pedestrianised street but we knew this before we booked so wasn't an issue for us. It is in an ideal position for everything and wouldn't hesitate in recommending .
