All fine except breakfast Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Beds were comfortable as well. Air conditioning worked well. Service was timely. Breakfast was terrible; they ran out of many many items and it was messy and of low quality. Hallway carpets are stained throughout

Not what we expected from a Hilton Property We overlooked the mold in the bathroom, we could put up with the pool being closed. We overlooked the one queen bed that belonged in the dumpster (that we should have reported right away but did not as there were two of us and two queen beds in the room so we made do. The first two nights that we were there were actually ok. On the third we came back from being out that evening to a loud noise in our room that we thought was the air conditioner malfunctioning. it turned out that night a produce company booked some rooms, They had 3 refrigerated trucks that needed to be left running all night that they parked right outside of our room. The noise from those trucks were louder than our TV. When I complained to management, they said that the owners of the produce trucks were paying customers, the hotel was at capacity there was nothing that they could do,(i.e. the trucks could have been relocated to back up next to the the gas station next door)only to find out the next morning that there was another Hilton property located within a half mile of this hotel. To boot, the hotel was filled to capacity on the weekend so the breakfast area was not being cleaned up and most of the food bins were empty and there was food all over the place. We have never had an experience like this staying at a Hilton property! I called corporate and requested a refund for the third night as we were unable to sleep and arrived at the wedding we were attending the next day exhausted. We had traveled 1,200 miles to attend this wedding. This was an event that should have been amazing that was absolutely ruined by the hotel's unwillingness to try to do anything as we could not sleep, and all I wanted to while at the wedding was go back to the HOLIDAY INN Express (where we didn't have any of these problems) that we booked for the next night and collapse... Needless to say, we will not be going back to this property any time soon. While Hilton agreed to give us some of the money back, they will not give us a full refund for the third night, which I think is the least they could have done. We were told by the manager however, that the produce company said they were sorry (Unbelieveable!)This is not what we expect from Hilton. So much for being an Honors member!!!

Hampton Inn RT 17 S in Mahwah wins first prize in my book ! What a great hotel and overnight stay! We had been on the road for over seven hours -- and were pretty spent after working a full day no less. But Matthew and Jennifer and Israel were right there, graciously welcoming us at reception. Check-in was a like a pleasant warm breeze with palm trees and relaxing already; and we loved our room - with extremely comfortable mattress (so important!) -- and of course, immaculate. Also, we were NOT facing Route 17 (which can be a little noisy at times). we certainly got our beauty rest before proceeding on our way.. BUT there is more - the breakfast was great. sometimes one dreads the scrambled eggs - but these were not crumbly and over-cooked - they were perfecto, along with perfect roasted potatos and a selection of yogurts. the turkey sausages were perfectly browned with the right, appealing texture taste and color. i saw the chef and wanted to give him a fist pound but he was on a mission to keep the breakfast perfect and didn't have a chance to thank him. so bottom line - if you need a place to hang your hat near Mahwah - this is the best place to do so and thanks again to team Hampton Inn - Matthew, Jennifer and Israel for making it happen and such an appealing, engaging pleasant spot to rest up and/or take care of business!

Almost Typical Hampton The hotel is like most Hampton Inns in that it is clean, quiet, good bed and pillows. We very seldom encounter issues at Hamptons, but this one had a couple things that stood out. The hotel is getting a bit tired and needs a refresh and in the case of our room, some repairs (tile in bathroom was broken and piece of tile missing). The gentleman on the front desk when we checked in (Nov 09, 2023) was very non-typical for Hampton, in that he was gruff and abrupt and never made eye contact. It was far from a warm greeting!

If you only want a bed Picked this place over another Hilton (Marriotts booked up) for the breakfast and boy was it bad. Wasn’t there at closing time but everything was gone and what was left for the hot food was cold. We even watched him put new sausage out and it was cold. The breakfast guy was nice but couldn’t handle it. The Cable didn’t work that night either. Was told that was “not their fault.” I mentioned it the manager in the morning and grabbed the GM’s card. Neither were helpful. For the price we paid for a Hampton Inn, that place should have been flawless.
