A great conference experience I stayed as part of a 2.5-day conference in late July 2024. For my room: The room was very clean and comfortable. Linens were wonderful, AC worked well and adjusted to changes in desired temperature quickly, bathroom was very clean and well-appointed, shower was hot and shower-head gave a comfortable, large spray. There was a hair dryer and iron/board, but I didn't need either. Wi-fi worked without any problems. Room was quiet (though in the bathroom, you can hear the shower from a nearby room - next door? or next floor? but it wasn't disturbing or noticeable in the actual sleeping/working area of the room) for working and concentrating. A great business-class experience! We also used the pool - it's shallow (3ft to 5 ft deep) but worked well enough for simple water aerobics. It was warm, the towels and shower room were convenient, and day-long open hours were very handy. We didn't use the fitness equipment, but it seemed to be working well for others. Disposable earphones were available. Again, the hotel provides extra towels and a shower room (inside the bathroom) right in the pool/fitness area. For the conference: meeting rooms were comfortable with appropriately useful furniture, tech worked well (though may have been provided by our organization? I'm not sure). The rooms were of a size that it was easy to hear the speaker, and to interact with other attendees, and there was no noise spill-over from other rooms nor the hallway when the meeting room doors were closed. Our lunches and an evening banquet were very well-presented and attended to (buffet style, promptly refilled) and tasty. Coffee and tea was always ready and hot (the hot water was sufficient to brew good tea, something I've found rare with almost all caterers, so bravo, Desmond!), and there were a variety of cold drinks in the nearby refrigerated coolers. I've been to dozens of business-class experiences in hotels around the country, and was very impressed with the Desmond. I would definitely stay here again, and happily attend another conference here!

Kindness of Hotel Staff One of the worst things to happen is to lose a credit card while traveling, which is what happened to a friend of mine. When the Desmond Hotel Restaurant was contacted the young man answering the call, personally checked the front desk and returned with the good news to call that staff. I was so amazed at the personal service, the quick resolution and the final end to a stressful event. Much appreciation goes to the Restaurant and Reservation staffs for helping us to resolve this stressful event. Rose

A great stay This was a good stay! We stayed here for a family wedding. The hotel is beautiful and the location is great. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they seem to be genuinely happy in their job. The hotel offers an absolutely comprehensive experience. There are several restaurants, a beautiful outdoor patio, pool and small gym. The is a large conference room designed for large gatherings. The lobby is large, inviting and comfortable. My room was perfect, it faced west overlooking the trees and with an amazing view of the sunset. Everything I needed was right there. A special shout out to Jill and Kay!

A nice stay for a family wedding Attended a family wedding here. Everything was on-site. Stayed here, wedding ceremony here, cocktails here, reception here, brunch here. It was nice to be at an all-in-one location. This review speaks specifically about our stay as hotel guests (the bride and groom can talk about the event planning, etc.) We had a very comfortable stay with no problems at all. Some highlights included a spacious, clean, comfortable king room that was quiet. The bed and pillows were comfy. One nice highlight is that the TV had an HDMI port on the back, so we could plug in our Roku stick and watch our own shows (I am sure that chrome and fire sticks would work equally well.) The wireless bars were low and the Roku rated the wifi connection speed as moderate, but it didn't seem to effect the streaming quality in any way that we could see. The bathroom is small - as it is in most hotels of this era - but it was well appointed, with loads of towels, and some nice Crabtree & Evelyn products. Other nice things: the close and easy free parking, friendly and helpful front desk staff, lots of lobby space for friends and family to gather, and the terrific Doubletree cookies (ask for 2) Pro tip: If you are on the Hilton Honors app and you can check in early, use the pick your room option and try to select one with a lower number (any floor, but get a room under -23 or so, so you are nearer to the elevator) One of our family members was in a -47 room and it was a long, long lonnnng hike from the elevator.

Great local hotel Great hotel for a local stay in the West Chester area. Very friendly front desk team made us feel very welcomed, rooms are clean and like new, hallways also clean and like new. Very pleasant, it’s the best hotel we have found in the area. Easy parking, good breakfast. Convenient location.
