Horrible Manager and Customer Experience DO NOT STAY HERE. The hotel is beautiful but the manager/owner is extremely rude and incompassionate. Highly recommend to avoid! We brought a young family there who was waiting for their home to be ready in the middle of a harsh Minnesota winter. We booked online and the website we booked said that early check-in was allowed but when the family arrived, this manager would not allow early check-in even though we were told by the workers that there were plenty of rooms available. The family stayed two nights, they were quiet and respectful and were able to get out of the cold. When the second night came around, I was there in person with my ID and multiple credit cards but the (very friendly) worker at the front desk was having trouble with her computer system running the cards. She said that the system was running very slow and the issue was on her end, not ours. She said that there would be no problem to call tomorrow to pay or come back later tomorrow and that the room was available in any case so it wouldn't be a problem for them to stay another day and then call in or pay in-person the next day. When 11:00 the next day came around, the manager/owner kicked the family out on the streets. She wouldn't reason with us at all about the night before, or the payment issues, or give any flexibility for allowing them to stay, despite calmly explaining the situation. She stuck strictly to her "rules". She came close to accusing me of credit card fraud. I help families frequently and travel frequently, but I will not be going back to that hotel, or sending any families to that hotel, and I recommend everyone to avoid the hotel. The manager has no compassion or reason or flexibility for humanity. The inside of the hotel is nice, although their computer systems suck. In general, the manager has no compassion for others and I highly recommend to avoid.

Would not recommend My wife and I visited for our anniversary. We were first put in a room that smelled of cat urine and had hair on the bathroom counter. When we were moved to our new room, our tv did not work. Hotel staff attempted to fix it but said they didn’t have the appropriate equipment to do so. We were booked for two nights and had to leave early to get home for a sick child. We were initially told we would be refunded for the second night since we had left before checkout. That story changed once we checked out. We were told a manager would be in contact with us once the work week began so we could discuss it - we left on a Saturday. It has now been 2+ weeks and still have not heard from management. I have reached out 4+ times to speak with someone in management. I would definitely look elsewhere if visiting the area.

BUGS (alive and dead) all over room! Upon entering our room noticed a bug/beetle on the ceiling. Proceeded to kill it only to have 5 more come crawling out of vents and curtains. Killed a total of 6 before going to bed. Pull out sofa sleeper had no linens (sheets or blankets) available in room. No drain plug in bathroom sink. Kitchen counter had burn mark. When addressing our issues with GM (Adam) he offered NO apology. Instead said we should have called the front desk so that they could come to our room and spray. Referred us to booking.com to lodge official complaint. He took absolutely NO ACCOUNTABILITY for this issue. Will not stay or refer this hotel in the future.

BEWARE! Your reservation means nothing. You show up and they have sold your room at a better rate to someone else BEWARE! This hotel claims that online booking is not the way to go and that those outside booking agents, overbook, so even if you have a reservation, don't count on it. We booked far in advance and because of Oktoberfest going on close by, we believe they knew they could get a higher rate out of last minute bookings, so they dropped our reservation and claimed they called us to let us know. I asked what number they called and they had transposed numbers, so at 6pm we had no room and had to drive over an hour to find a room at that late time of day. Never again, would I book a room at this hotel. Called the manager (Adam) on Monday after our Saturday night reservation was taken from us and all he could say was "sorry, you are not getting a free room from me, I will offer you a 15 to 20% discount." NO THANKS, I will find a hotel that appreciates their guests and wants to be accomodating to them. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL!

Lacks Basic Amenities Check in took 20 mins, understaffed. Room very clean with a good layout. Amenities were REALLY BAD. Bath: No sink drain plug, dangerous slippery shower/bath combo with only one handle at knee level for showering, no bath mat, bar of soap was 1" by 1 1/2"...smallest in the world, toilet was only 14" high (felt like back in Japan doing the squat. Bedroom: No alarm clock or any clock, nightstand lamp bulb dead, no hooks for clothing. Kitchen: Sink faucet dripped, stove burner area stained, smallest coffee creamer in the world. Breakfast: waffles very tough, milk bottle empty, coffee urns empty (were refilled when asked). Not a good experience.
