Worst Senator i have been to Having visited over 8 Playa Senator hotels in Spain,i have to say this one is the worst in that it is in need of a full reformation. The pool is in the worst condition i have ever seen a Senator hotel..EVER.The pool floor was over 50% missing the pool tiles that were coming loose and aligning the pool edge as kids and adults were picking them up and placing them there. The Jacuzzi internal light was loose and it was just hanging loosely in there..an electrical hazard for anyone using it.The worst pool i have seen in any hotel in Europe. The hotel looks very outdated and needs a revamp. Only good thing was the breakfast...great quality and choice. The check in staff were also great. Room was a superior room which was also acceptable. Would never return to this hotel and i thank God that we only went for 1 night for our anniversary as we would have not being able to stand more than one day at that pool...disgraceful.

Give it a pass if you have a choice! The entire building needs some urgent makeover. If you like cheap-look / side of the road hotels, then the Senator hotel Marbella will be your jam. If not, avoid at all costs. Check-in tool more than 15mn. They are also below par when it comes to anti-covid measures - there was no hand soap in our room. Ah, and the TV turns on unexpectedly in the middle of the night... Never again

Average Poor views, overlooking a conference centre and a car park. Good breakfast, location ok, furniture in room old and needs upgraded. Had to phone reception as only one towel was available on entering the room. Restaurant staff very pleasant but felt the reception staff weren't. Kept awake 2 nights out of 3 by a large group of Irish accented travellers who had at least 5 rooms on the first floor, we were on the second. Staff at no point tried to stop the excessive noise and partying that went on until 03.00/04.00. I would personally rate this hotel 3 star and if visiting Marbella in the future I would look elsewhere.

Bad experience We went in this hotel because we wanted to enjoy the spa, but the spa was closed. And nobody told us when we arrived that the spa will be closed that day when we are there. And the Jacuzzis outside were cold. So we did not get to go in any jacuzzis OR spa. Plus we didn't have any cleaning all day, even though I specifically ASKED for cleaning. Four-star spa hotel without spa and cleaning... VERY DISAPPOINTED, and definitely will not return. In reception only response to this was "sorry".

Junior suite My husband and I stayed one night in a junior Suite for our wedding anniversary. The suite was beautiful, with a huge bathtub in the room and lovely views of La Concha mountain. The suite had a big walk in wardrobe and lovely bathroom. The room had a nespresso coffee machine but only decaf capsules although we called reception and they happily brought us some normal capsules. We went out for lunch and when we returned they had left us a bottle of cava on ice and fresh fruits which was a lovely touch. Entrance to the spa is not included in the price but they did offer us 2 for 1 upon check in but we didn’t use the spa facilities as it was. Breakfast was quite small (possibly due to covid restrictions) but everything was lovely. Fresh eggs / palettes upon request and nespresso coffee machines there too which we always appreciate! We’d definitely stay here again, and the suite is well worth the money. There’s another suite which is supposedly better than the junior suite but it was not available when we booked, I’d definitely look to try that next time as the junior suite was so lovely. We walked down to the beach for lunch and had a beautiful lunch and cocktails at Diblu, which we’d also massively recommend as the food was incredible (as we’re the cocktails) and the setting was just perfect.
