Disgusting Disgusting stay. Booked 3 rooms for short vacay. Room 1- no air and it took until 10pm to fix Room 2- sticky floor, carpet filthy, TV remote nasty, lights broken, electrical outlet dead, and duvet has the nastiest of stains. Probably dangerous! Room 3-lumpy beds. Spoke to afternoon/night time manager “Sharon” and she promised to get everything taken care of. NOTHING was done! Called to speak to Sharon again and she was gone for the day. Then At 10:00 pm the house keeping manager came up to look. She promised rooms would be deep cleaned before we got back from dinner. Said the person who was supposed to have cleaned room was NOT a Marriott employee and was a third party vendor. NOTHING was done. Next day I went downstairs and left message for manager to call me. NO call. Spoke to Pedro at front desk…. He promised to have someone call me. NO ONE called. I can hardly wait to get out of here. I will be contacting corporate as every hotel hand sanitizer was empty and no one followed guidelines when it came to sanitizing the room.

Beautiful but… The JW Marriott is a beautiful hotel and the service was great. Our room was clean and we had a great view. But our family was disappointed on how early the pools closed. 9pm is very early and there wasn’t much else to do after that. Many of the restaurants were either closed or had weird hours. The menus were very limited. So there were very limited options. Also, we reserved a cabana at the pool for the day and due to the lightening the pools closed at 3 and never reopened. So we didn’t have it for the entire day, which was disappointing for as much as we spent for it. For these reasons, we will probably chose a different place to stay next time.

I deeply regret staying here My family and I stayed at the JW Marriott Marco Island last week and several of us contracted COVID while there. The hotel was booked to 100% capacity and they were not at all equipped to handle that number of guests which lead to significant crowding throughout the property. There was insufficient staff throughout the entire stay - starting with check-in, which involved standing in a crowded lobby for close to an hour since there were only 2 of 6 front desk stations open. Every restaurant was seated past capacity with no social distancing, and at each breakfast many guests were waiting in a small area outside the breakfast room (Maia) for a table to open up. Few staff and guests wore masks and I didn't see anything more than a quick wipe-down of tables between seatings. The other services were equally spotty. Every time we tried calling guest services we waited on hold for upwards of 15 minutes. They performed a limited, "tidying" housekeeping service each day, which I assume was because of the limited staff, but as a result housekeeping carts and a staff members were in the halls the entire day. Even with that our room was missed one day and I had to call 3 times to get it serviced in the evening. We have been extremely careful about COVID - my wife and I got vaccinated as soon as possible and we’ve continued to mask up along with our two young children (2 and 6). We were apprehensive of the rising COVID case counts in Florida but decided to make the trip anyway since the kids have been mostly stuck at home during the pandemic. We mistakenly thought that since we would be outside most of the time it would be fine. We also thought that a JW Marriott hotel would be better run, but it was honestly a zoo there most days given the capacity and service issues. My youngest daughter developed a fever and then tested positive the day after we returned home. I called the hotel that day (8/9) to inform them of the situation and spoke with Marcus, the residential manager, who was sympathetic but also gave me a response that felt like it was drafted by their legal department (“Everyone bears their own risks," etc.). He also told me that starting that day they were requiring all staff to wear masks again. I sensed that ours wasn’t the only COVID case that was reported back to them. Now additional family members have tested positive (even though they were vaccinated). All-in-all, I expected a lot more from a high-end hotel given the rise in cases over the last couple weeks and I was extremely let down. I’ll be hard pressed to stay at another JW Marriott again.

5 night amazing stay with family The place was wonderful in every way. Excellent food, excellent location, pristine property, and excellent beach. It is expensive, but you should expect that going in to this level of property. There were also lots of things to do for the kids. There were 2 pools, one with a waterslide. There was also an excellent arcade and many dining options. Room service and service by the pool was very fast. I particularly liked Ahmet, a poolside waiter. This property is in high demand, so don't expect a lot of freebies if you're a Titanium or lower. (Also - major eye roll, but I've read many reviews where the only criticism is cost and then they give the resort 2-4 stars. Give me a break people.) Book immediately - you won't have any regrets.
