Perfect place full of History A beatiful 1892 Hotel. Our room has a view of the Ohio River with very old desk, dresser and end table. Just make you fell back in the old days. We had a view of the 5 stories paddle wheel boat and it is still active for touries. We did not have dinner there but we did had Breakfast at the Gun Room. The serves was slow do to lots of guest which I believed. My omelet was pefect and my wife had ,Captain's Breafast Croissant, She said it was ok but it was lack of sauce. There is a very nice walk path along the river

Beautiful place to stay This is a beautiful historic hotel. The staff is top notch! They are friendly and sincere. My room was clean and very nicely decorated. The restaurant is very good. Staying here is like stepping back in time. I woke up each morning looking at a beautiful river.

Nice place on the river This is lovely, historic inn with a beatiful location on the Ohio River. You can easily walk downtown to shop or along the river. The staff was very helpful. However, the bedding (specifically pillows) was old and in lumpy pieces. I ate at the hotel and the crabcake dinner I had was at best average. Breakfast was good.

GREAT STAY THE HOTEL WAS GREAT, THE ROOMS ARE SMALL, BUT VERY WELL DECORATED WITH NICE FURNISHINGS. THE BATHROOM TILE WAS NEAT, LOOKS LIKE A TIME PERIOD FROM WHEN THE HOTEL WAS BUILT AND THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. THE STORY THE HOTEL BEING HAUNTED WAS INTERESTING. A WORKER AT THE HOTEL THAT WAS LEAVING WORK TOOK THE TIME TO TELL US SOME STORYS ABOUT THE GHOSTS (HE DID SAY THEY WERE ALL NICE GHOST). DIDN'T GET HIS NAME BUT IT WAS VERY NICE OF HIM TO STAY AFTER WORK TO TALK WITH US. ALSO LIKED THAT THE WINDOWS OPEN, SO YOU COULD TURN OFF THE A/C AND LISTEN TO THE BARGES ON THE RIVER AS YOU GO TO SLEEP. YOUR RIGHT IN TOWN LOTS OF SHOPS AND PLACES TO EAT NEAR BY INCLUDING THE HOTEL RESTAURANT. THE BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL IS VERY GOOD AND YOU GET A LOT OF FOOD ITS NOT FREE BUT FOR $20 MY WIFE AND I DIDN'T LEAVE HUNGRY.
