Charm by the Ocean! I had the house salad and added fruit. Overlooking the water with all the boats was very peaceful and refreshing. I felt very rejuvenated! A great staff very polite and professional. The whole place smells great and I found it very invigorating for solo travels but groups and business meetings also!

Beautiful hotel and very clean When you go to a Ritz-Carlton you expect everything to be clean nice and luxurious. this was clean, nice and had a very nice view of the marina. We went there on my husband's birthday and there was a chocolate cake waiting for us in our room when we arrived. The lobby was really pretty and they had a lot of COVID protocols (masks all the time when indoors, 2 people only at the elevator or a family) we had breakfast at their restaurant and it was really good with a pleasant view. The only 2 disappointments were that you have to park In their parking lot and they charge you 46 dollars a day to park day. Also when we arrived the safe did not work and they wanted to change the door on the safe but that should have been checked before they allow a guest to check in. Overral a very pleasant experience and we would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent trip First time at this property.... everything spectacular which can be attributed to their wonderful staff !! Everyone helpful, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome .... love the pool and hot tub, the breakfast overlooking the marina, the comfortable beds and the nighttime turndown service and the chocolates they leave on your pillow ❤️ Will definitely be back

Good, but not Great - A good South Bay, MDR Option. Solid property - the best option in MDR and the South Bay, but not the 5 Star you'll get at the Ritz or Montage in Laguna or nicer hotels in Beverly Hills. It's an older property that has been maintained fairly well. The best rooms are directly facing the marina with a small balcony where you can sit and see all the boats coming and going. Do NOT book a room without at least a partial marina view - it's will be disappointing. Rooms are nicely furnished with comfortable beds. But, I wouldn't say posh or over the top. The bathrooms are marble, but a bit small and nothing out of the ordinary (water pressure is CA limited). The exterior restaurant facing the marina is the best option for food. Food is solid, but not spectacular and very expensive for what you get. There are tons of restaurant options in MDR and Venice wishing 5 minutes of the Hotel. Do NOT eat at the Warehouse down the street - yuck. The pool is very nice, with good food and beverage service; a tad understaffed, understandable given COVID. The pool is heated to the 80s. Probably a good idea to get there by 11:00 AM to get the best chairs and / or umbrellas. Chairs by the hot tub area are close to the street and you can hear the traffic. Lots of towels and comfortable lounges. There were a few too many dead bugs in the pool... Parking: Avoid the valet if possible - it's going to run you $46 + Tip. You can park directly across the street in a public lot (kiosk pay) for 24 hours at a time with in and out privileges for much cheaper. Service: Good but not great. Not the atmosphere or service of say the Waldorf, Four Seasons or other similar properties.

Not totally Ritzy We stayed for three days and found the experience mostly laid back and pleasant. The room was lovely with a view of the marina. All was clean but not luxurious. The maid service was spectacular. Walls were thin and we had annoying neighbors who played their TV very late at night. The worst aspect was food service for breakfast, at the bar and at the pool. Servers were uniformly less gracious than at IHOP and food and drink arrival was abysmally slow. We joked that we ordered lunch and it arrived at dinner time. Seriously, it took an hour and a half, and for these prices, there should have been rapid service with a smile. So, a bit disappointed in our stay that was a splurge that didn’t pay off.
