My Go To Place Aways a very comfortable and engaging place to stay. Great owners who spend the time to engage with you as you may desire. Not doing so and you will miss a great deal of the charm of this B&B. Wonderful breakfast made by an artist!

Lovely Property My husband and I had an enjoyable stay at Dickey House. The property itself is well worthy of a five star rating, though I did feel it was a little overpriced especially considering it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. It is far enough from Springfield that it would not be convenient to use it as a base for a Springfield trip, in my opinion. Seeing the town square and the model of the Hubble telescope will take all of five minutes. The downtown area is nearly nonexistent aside from a couple of small antique stores. However, if you have a need to stay in the area, or if your travel plans are such that a stopover here is on the way, it is a pleasant overnight stop. The property itself is lovely. There is a city park within a short drive that provided a nice evening stroll. Several have mentioned the issue of the train. We were in the Prairie Suite, and indeed, a train track runs only a few feet from the side of the building and did awaken me a couple of times. The furnishings In the Prairie Suite are nice, the size of the room spacious, with linens of high quality. There is a small refrigerator in the room supplied with a few sodas. Breakfast was excellent. Their standard serving time is a little late, but the hostess was accommodating about moving it up by thirty minutes so we could get on the road. We have family in nearby Mansfield, so I will likely use this property again since hotels/motels in the area are nothing to be excited about. However, I doubt I would splurge for the Prairie Suite again because of price (nearly $200 with taxes). This trip was near our anniversary when we did not otherwise have a get-away, but for the area, and apart from a special treat, a bit pricey.

Dickey House Bed and Breakfast We enjoyed our stay in the Carriage House. It was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and such a beautiful place. Friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. They sat and talked with us during breakfast and it felt like we were with family!

Great place to stay in Marshfield!! I have stayed here several times for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The house is a historic gem. Larry makes a fabulous breakfast and Michaelen is a perfect hostess. She even will give you the history of the house and town if you ask her. Delightful people in a charming house. Thanks for the hospitality and great food!

Great stay! We had such a wonderful stay at the Dickey House. The room was very comfortable. Larry and Michaelene were such gracious hosts and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The breakfasts were great. It is close to the railroad tracks but it wasn't an issue for us. We would definitely stay there again.
