Wonderful old style hotel. Right on the waterfront in the city. Very friendly. In the old town and on the waterfront. I was the only one using the pool (in winter), but hey, I'm Canadian!!! The rooms are rather dated (no coffee maker or fridge) and the coffee/breakie shop doesn't open until 8:00am (closes Mondays). I rented a bike (from a neighbour of a snowbird friend) and storing it at the hotel was no problem. Biking opened up the city for me and made the stay so enjoyable.

A Great 2 Star Hotel. It's a great 2 star hotel. My room is always clean. Good WiFi except for the pool area. No kitchenette but I can always wait until 8:00am for the restaurant to open for my morning coffee, or walk 80 metres to Loony Beans (a must on Monday's). My room has A/C but I couldn't figure out how the controls worked (I would turn it off and 15 minutes later it would turn itself on!). It didn't stop me sleeping though. The restaurant is nice but meal selection is limited (mainly burger type in the evening), but the omelette in the morning is superb. The restaurant is closed Monday's. The staff are wonderful. the concierge is superb, always has a smile and a welcoming greeting. The atrium is open and there is always an evening chorus from the birds that live in the trees that grow within the atrium. A band plays western music Friday's and Saturday's (7:00pm to 10:00pm). They don't mind me locking my bike in the atrium when I'm not out and about on it. The pool was cold but that didn't stop me from a refresher dip every day. Even though it's January, the temp was in the high 20c's, so the pool was very welcoming (though I think I was the only person using it). There are numerous restaurants and cafes in walking distance and there is a lively arts scene (bands, operas, art shows, etc).

Affordable and cute It’s a little hotel that gets the job done. You get what you pay for. Close to the Mercado and the beach. Book the ocean view. It’s a beautiful sight. Was one of the things I enjoyed when waking up to see the beach. The restaurant downstairs was good.

Vacation Last time in Mazatlan we stayed at the Rui Emerald Bay. It was really nice but we were wanting a different experience this trip. The friends we met at La Siesta filled the bill. A nice vintage hotel in an excellent location for walking and seeing the fine city. Very clean and we had no complaints. We are looking forward to our next visit. We love the Centro area.
