Great NYE experience! I stayed at the Hilton McLean for a New Year's Eve party. The hotel is beautiful with great service, quiet rooms, and attentive staff. My little dog enjoyed the stay as much as me. I was very grateful to the hotel for allowing me to add my dog to my reservation last minute.

Very Disappointing I took my 80-year old mother for an overnight stay to celebrate Mother’s Day—we both found our stay disapppojbting. Our electronic door lock didn’t work, and the door and furniture in the room were worn and were peeling. A group of 13 unsupervised teenagers took over the entire pool, shouting and blasting their music. When I complained, the front desk person reported it to someone from security. Instead of removing the teens from the pool until their chaperone appeared (which never happened), the security worker said he’d look for the chaperone. More than half an hour later, nothing had changed, so we left. As a 20+ year Hilton Hhonors member and as a Diamond member who has stated at Hilton properties around the world, this is one was if the biggest disappointments. The only positive was the excellent service we received at the bar’s dining area from Shwalem.

A True Hilton This hotel really knows what a name brand Hilton should provide. The service staff is across the board excellent. I have attended many conferences here. In 2022, when all other hotels were skimping on cleaning services (using the pandemic as an excuse to cut costs), the cleaning staff at this hotel not only cleaned the room perfectly, but they folded my pants that I'd strewn on the floor, setting them neatly on my bed. At a conference today (in fact, just now), while I was sitting at a table away from the conference, working on my computer, a staff member pulled out an extension cord and ran a power strip to my table so I could plug in my computer. Both of these little gestures were not requested: the staff just noticed a need and went above and beyond. This is a rare level of attention to detail, and it speaks to a hotel that is well managed, with a good employee culture. (Also, great EV charging! :D)

An outdated business hotel We were in town for a family occasion. The hotel is a relic of 1980s architecture with a large atrium with the room arranged around it in 8 floors. The rooms are gently updated but the overall package seems in dire need of an update. The free WiFi hit a measly 5MBps. Pathetic by any means. The shower was a drizzle and a major disappointment. The closet was tiny and barely fit our clothes. Everything felt stingy because it was. For almost $200 a night, you should be getting more in 2024. To top things off, a friendly sticker reminded you to leave a time using a QR code. The safe in the room was floating in its cabinet; not attached to anything. The buttons were not working properly. There's not a lot to ask for from a safe but to make sure it stays put. On the positive side - the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and parking was free. Still, very disappointing from a Hilton-branded hotel. Time to freshen up.

Not worth the price No way this is a 5/5 hotel: Rooms are old, tired and falling apart. Lights don’t work, floors and furniture scratched up and bathrooms tired. Heating systems are noisy. Heck, the hotel itself is just plain old, obviously built in the 1960s, nothing but cement and those era specific indoor glass elevators shaped like little rocket ships. The staff works hard, and the bar menu isn’t bad, even wines by the glass are good. Breakfast buffet is fine, and the bed comfortable like most Hilton’s. But there are better options in the area. Especially for the prices this place charges.
