Nice Hotel But AVOID The Night Club I have stayed here many times in the past and always choose it when I’m in the area. Never Again. The rooms are comfy and I used the spa and enjoyed my time there. But the food in the night club is mediocre at best and the music was so loud I had to get up and leave; room service would have been a much better option. Won’t come back here any time soon.

Always a wonderful experience! We have stayed at this hotel about 40 times and it never disappoints in any category. The rooms are very comfortable, updated and clean. I visit the spa for the manicure and pedicure. The same technicians have been there for over a decade. They give the best services I have ever had. Afternoon tea is lovely and there is a wonderful piano player. The food is excellent and the service in every department is outstanding. If you do not want to eat at the hotel there are many choices in the mall or close by. The hotel is in a mall with upscale stores. What more could you want?

Older Ritz with some renovations The hotel is an older 1980s ritz that’s been piecemeal renovated over the years. If you like shopping then this is a perfect place to stay as it is attached to one of the best malls in the DC metro area. The rooms are comfortable, however my carpet had several stains on it. Daily breakfast for 2 is advertised as included, however the reality of this promotion is that you are only given a $30 credit on your bill every day. This would be ok if the cheapest thing on the menu wasn’t $22, and once you factor tax, delivery and tip, it comes to $38. And that’s for one person not two. I would rather they just comp the breakfast as they say they do, or just don’t offer the promotion, I’d be less irritated to just pay than get half off through a false promotion. The air conditioning was also not working in the hallways which made them very hot and humid, as well as the first floor lobby and the elevators, not ideal on a 93* day.

Quiet, peaceful, convenient, prompt, but not without imperfections Although I used my wife's account (only a silver member) to book, we were assigned a room overlooking the beautiful fountain/garden. All the Ritz amenities were available and enjoyable. The room and other facilities were quiet and peaceful. It is directly connected to Tyson Galleria. All but one staff members were attentive and courteous. I particularly liked how prompt they responded to my phone calls, whether from inside the hotel or outside. Some imperfections. The water in the whirlpool was lukewarm. There was some mix-up in our reservation. Strangely they moved up our stay by one day, but it was quickly fixed through a phone call to the front desk. The only unpleasantness occurred when we were in the lobby. I spilled some lemonade on the table and used a napkin to wipe it out. However, I could not find a trash bin to put away the wet napkin. While I was looking around, an old male staff member directed me to a bin behind the concierge desk. He wore a reproachful look. I was taken aback. Well, it was not my fault that there was no bin around the lemonade stand. Besides, how was I supposed to know to go behind the concierge desk to find a bin? Anyway, a minor blemish on an otherwise perfectly enjoyable stay.
