RACIST ESTABLISHMENT!!! HORRIBLE NIGHT MARE EXPERIENCE!!! On 7/8 My spouse and I checked in here at 6pm by 9:30 the lights were out. We stayed around for a couple hours for lights to come back on but they didn’t. Because we were only there to celebrate my husband’s birthday we left and came home. No manager was on duty to speak with so we left. The front desk rep told us that a manager will be in touch the next morning. Fast forward to the next morning the manager didn’t call. I had to reach out. She finally did give a call back. She told us that she would comp us for a room on 7/20. Upon arrival on 7/20 we were informed by front desk that we had to pay for the night. The front desk rep called both managers (NO MANAGER ON DUTY AGAIN) the first one said the same thing, we would need to pay. The second manager is whom I spoke with, that had rebooked us for the new night- she changed her words. The front desk rep relayed the message that we would need to pay again. We refused and left. Upon asking for a refund for the first visit we were refused and told that we needed to speak with a manager and again no manager on duty. So I went through the company we booked with for refund. This is where things get interesting. We were told the lights were out in the entire city for only an hr and half. That was a blatant lie! Then they refused to refund us because of this lie. We were only in the room two full hours out of the entire stay. If you’ve stayed here before you know rooms start at $300 a night. Truth be told I should of never booked. I didn’t look at the reviews here on Google until after I’d booked. Mistake on my end. I would of known that they are RACISTS. We will be contacting lawyers and taking this further. This is 2024, if you are racist you shouldn’t be in business. Shame on you for having no integrity as a company. I will tell anyone and everyone of how we were treated in your establishment. Count your days!

Truly a special place. Start your day with a cup of coffee sitting out front watching the Mississippi River in its majesty flowing buy, end your day at the Terrace and watch the sunset across that same mighty river. The rooms are inviting, comfortable and well thought out. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. The location is unique and beautiful.

The River Inn is the best The hotel and staff were simply the best. Our waitstaff Anastasia was simply outstanding and was a pleasure to have as wait staff. The bed first class, the port and chocolates was a great touch. The library on each floor had some great titles, wish i could have stayed long enough to read. The manager, I don't have her name unfortunately, she was outstanding. The food at both Tug's and Paulette's was fantastic. We travel by motorcycles the hotel parking right in front which is certainly a plus. We will be back cause we missed some places.
