Excellent stay Our family of five stayed in two rooms for two nights. We can highly recommend the Seagull Inn. Excellent location, healthy and delicious breakfast, clean rooms and great hosts. The gardens are a great place to eat breakfast or sip a glass of wine.

Five stars Hosts Kim and Ian are top notch. Very comfortable room with rocking chairs out front to eat breakfast, like your own little patio. Great little spot close to Main St, trail to the beach, and 10 minutes from Mendocino Botanical Gardens. Much more to do, just ask Ian! You might want to make restaurant reservations before you get there. Highly recommend the Sea Gull Inn.

Great View and excellent hosts Nothing bad to report here. An old building that has been restored and is being improved. Wonderful gardens and spots to sit outside. The view of the ocean from our room, Sand Dollar, was quite pleasant. The room was incredibly clean. Ian was a wealth of knowledge re restaurants, attractions, etc. He accommodates varied dietary restrictions, and he has the perfect personality for being a host. Breakfasts were tasty, healthy, and with great coffee. I am new to the west coast b & b experience, so I was surprised when breakfast was not the whole 3 course experience as is typical on the east coast. But it appears that this is quite typical here. All in all a pleasant, relaxing, recharging experience.

Excellent location and wonderful hosts - Perfect Visit My wife and I stayed for a second time this year and had excellent and fun visits both times. The newer owners, Ian and Kim Roth, took over the Seagull Inn in 2018 and have poured themselves into the property and the community. Their ongoing hard work, stewardship of the Inn, and commitment to the community shows. Ian and Kim are both service-oriented and work hard to create an experience of feeling like you are at home without the responsibilities. Ian is a wealth of information about Mendocino history and knows all of the trails and local offerings if you're looking to become more oriented to the area. The location couldn't be better as the Seagull Inn is walkable to everything including morning coffee, fine restaurants, galleries, shops and the Headlands Hike starting to the South. We look forward to returning to the Seagull Inn in Mendocino to escape the valley heat and to visit our new friends Ian and Kim.

Long weekend My husband and I arrived on a Sunday. My brother was also staying in a room. Our room was very clean and felt that they sanitized everything. The Covid made us uncertain about travel. We had 2 beds in our room, facing the beautiful garden. This B&B is truly a beautiful gem of Mendocino. Our breakfast was home made muffins one day and the night day we had a homemade granola parfait. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. You may have to book in advance.
