Cleanliness in the kitchen We thought that Hyatt had international standards that applied to all hotels with the brand. Not so. We noticed that personnel working in the restaurant were not wearing gloves. Those cutting the fruit, preparing the food, etc. So, we told a supervisor that this was not acceptable. The following day, it was the same. Mexico already has a reputation for people getting intoxicated; the least they can do is take safety measures to minimize human contact with the food. Needless to say we did not eat the fruit or anything raw.

wonderful Stay at beautiful hotel, wonderful location We spent a few nights at this elegant and well-kept hotel. The service was superb from parking, checking in , housekeeping, restaurant services..everything was excellent! we enjoyed club access and it was well worth it!. we want to say that while everyone was very attentive and helpful, RAFAEL, who served us at Club access lounge was the best!. he is a very hard worker, making sure we had everything we need, was there everyday during our stay and made sure our stay was perfect... we highly recommend this hotel, the location is perfect, all services provided exceeded our expectations. we enjoyed dinner at italian restaurant a couple of times, didn't have time to enjoy the petite chef experience.. will definitely go back whenever we return to beautiful Merida

A wonderful conference hotel I had a 5 nt stay when here for a conference. I’ll start by saying that everyone who worked at this hotel was helpful, friendly and kind. Check in: everything was super smooth here and there was literally no wait. Room: the room was basic, clean and fine for what my expectations were. Bed is super comfy. I would suggest the bathroom lighting be way brighter. It’s quite dim and not helpful when getting ready. Bath products are nice! Restaurant : I ate dinner at the Italian restaurant here twice and the food and service was good. I recommend the bruschetta w/prosciutto _. I took the breakfast option that can be included in your rate and it was more than enough food options. Something for everyone really. Pool: There was bad weather while I stayed here but I made my way to the pool any chance I got. The pool itself is small so just know that it’s not a resort pool it’s a hotel pool. However it’s a lovely space and the bar serves a good cocktail and you can order food as well. Gym: I used the gym 4 days and each morning it was pretty quiet. It’s small and super basic but I got my workouts in. I would recommend more dumbbells. Location: great. Super close to many walkable areas. Ubers or taxis are quick to arrive and there’s a little bodega at the corner perfect for water/snacks. As a conference hotel the spaces for work were great. No complaints!

Solo Traveler Perfect place to relax. Pool was nice. It could use another pergola. Gym was nice. Go ahead and get the Regency Club. It’s nice to always have breakfast, snacks, drinks, coffee, and dinner available, if you decide to stay in after a long day of exploring. Always felt safe. Nice to have an ATM right outside the lobby w/ 24 hr security. Staff was excellent.
